For all of you out there who don't like Mr Trump, take a step back for a moment because this lawsuit is about principle here.... Does a private company has the right to ban someone in a site that is known as a public domain when the individual is extremely popular. While in this regards, I think as... |

A government considering some form of anti-censorship, pro-free speech legislation is not anti-free speech. BTW, when you tell us about your law, please do it in relation to the 1st Amendment: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise there... |

So you are suggesting the government should be the gatekeeper and control what can be said or not said. A government considering some form of anti-censorship, pro-free speech legislation is not anti-free speech. Why should Trump have a free hand? You are just taking one side over the other. No I th... |

It does seem that the legal footing would be firmer if they actually addressed the issue head-on instead of indirectly like that. Indeed, but that would probably not have resulted in abortion being generally legal. Well, you take religion out of the debate and abortion will always come out as legal... |

They aren't. I ask because once you answer "why is free speech valuable?" and "why shouldn't the government interfere with free speech?" it is very difficult to argue that Facebook and Twitter should be allowed a free hand. Unsurprisingly, those questions are being dodged like t... |

You don't have a right to compel a company to publish your work or promote your speech. Don't these private companies have a right to speech as well or do you think they should be compelled by the government? You are simply deciding that one person has a greater right than another. That is not how ... |

If there is a second civil war in America the Right will have all the guns and ammo while the Left will be armed with bongs and sex toys. Well, I am sure the US military will be quite effective. We don't need guns. What is really curious is that the right is so open about their treason and their ha... |

I think the part of it is that there are people who invalidate people with more "mild" autism and the support they may need. Whenever I've heard someone say you "can't be a little autistic" it's either in the situation Isa described, or where people are acting like higher functi... |

Currently, it is the DSM-5 that defines whether you are autistic or not. This is the cutoff between whether you are or you aren't: Symptoms cause clinically significant impairment in social, occupational, or other important areas of current functioning.
And autism needs to be present from birth... |

Always amusing to see progressively minded people go full on "state's rights" when they think it suits their interests. But tech companies don't prevent you from speaking. They just prevent you from speaking on their own platforms. Trump can have his own social media platform, his can pub... |

Free speech laws protect you from government censorship. Why is that important in the first place? Make the argument from first principles. Why do we want free speech? Why is it good? If we do want free speech, should a few tech companies really have the power that they currently have? - A power to... |

Unfortunately, neoliberal economists (AKA supply-side economics) have all kind of excuses why you cannot raise the minimum wage, the biggest myth is increasing cost (unless of course it is for the CEO, then the argument seems no longer to apply). But cost goes up all the time for overhead. Business ... |

Eventually people will realize that our Constitutional Rights does not apply to private companies. Might this be an oversight on the part of the Constitution? Why do we want free speech in the first place? Free speech laws protect you from government censorship. Are you saying that you now want gov... |

Quote: The suit requests a court order to end alleged censorship. Mr Trump added if they could ban a president, "they can do it to anyone".
