Traven,

That wall gave me a nightmare until I could see order in it!

So interesting to see the diversity in special interests. Was anyone’s intensity on the interest ever disrupted? If I could not watch a particular movie more than once in one day... yowza!

Curious to know what special interests you had as a child. I was big into watching the same movie over and over again, at least twice a day, for a year a piece. Simple example, but just curious.

Understandable, however, I do have to be a parent and I believe that my unconventional thoughts on society and raising children will hinder there ability to grow in society. Both are NT so I do not always quite understand the significance of things they become upset about. When I was their age, I pr...

I want to say thank you to the individuals who responded. I reviewed all of the posts in great length and analyzed how it applies to my children to the best of my ability. The way you explained it to me has finally started showing success in application. Things have changed dramatically. Now for a f...

I really appreciate this. I’m still processing and applying it. Will check back after the week to report if it has been helpful. The weeks I have my children, unless I am up when everyone else is asleep, it is a bit difficult to put effort into a thoughtful post, but wanted to say thanks.

I need advice on how to talk to my kids. I’m in the middle of a shutdown. Can only write right now, everyone is asleep. Figured I would do something proactive instead of beating myself up. I never understood children when I was a child myself, which makes it extremely difficult. My mother gives me a...

I research as a survival mechanism for most of my life. Study, study, apply while analyzing this issue. Want to connect with the kids more. And, yes, it is a bit tough dealing with other moms. I don’t really conform to dressing stereotypes. I still skateboard. I think the parents find it a bit silly...

I drive myself mad studying and researching child development and NT parental strategies, but ultimately exhausted of putting on the mommy mask that is to be expected. Most of the time, I simply don’t understand why they get so upset about silly things like wanting me to buy goggles when it is clear...

The United States is, (and I realize this is a rash generalization and doesn’t apply to all) the spoiled teenager of the world with Daddy’s credit card. When we live in a society where grown men that wear tights and catch a football get paid more than influential humanitarians it is questionable to...

I think the acceptance of the democratic socialism you speak of has only been developed in certain countries of age that have, over time, via education and a more health prone society, created a safer space for more liberating thought processes. Personally, I am not quite sure if the United States c...

Apologies, but I find your carnival psychic story hilarious. You do anything evil recently to support her claims (sarcasm)? I once had one tell me that evil spirits wanted to follow me and take me down essentially. Her solution? To buy some specialty cleansing candles to ward off these spirits. I wa...

I do the same. The mindless chit chat, otherwise, will drive me absolutely bonkers. It took 38 years of existence though to realize that only intellectual NTs are my go to for real conversation. Just seems to take much longer to identify those safety nets.

I believe we always have to take science into account, in reference to what our bodies do to us when we experience a deep connection of love with another human being. I can see this being a hopeful truth, however, for me, also being in an extremely connected relationship, I get it. I have never been...
