Thank you all. I am somewhat better today. This was triggered by a couple of work social situations, where I overanalysed my behaviour, then decided that I had humiliated myself and said stupid things and nobody would want to be my friend anymore. This triggered my feelings of low self-worth, becaus... |

Even when I think things are going ok, there is always that something that comes along and reminds me I’m balancing on a knife edge. And on Friday I fell off and cut myself. I haven’t done that for 7 years. I think I have slipped back into the darkness. I don’t know how I can go to work tomorrow but... |

I went to one in London about 5-6 years ago. It felt like it had been 'put on' for us autistic people by neurotypicals. Also, there was a lot of focus on autistic children. Why do people never realise that children grow up and become autistic adults? The mind boggles. I'd like to think that things ... |

I see that the above events will be coming to 3 big cities in the UK soon. I'm kind of half thinking about going. It might be a good opportunity to meet people and to find things out. On the other hand, this kind of event freaks me out, with the whole 'social networking' thing and busy, crowded, he... |

I messed up the poll... I should have put a 'none of the above' option.
Sorry to hear others are going through similar difficulties. Feelings are so intense. |

This post is about SH/SI and thoughts or attempts of unaliving pneself. If you are very sensitive, in a bad place, or just don't want to read/talk about that kind of stuff, please click away. I wonder how common self injury is in autistic people. Also thoughts of unalivng oneself. I don't think ther... |

Do neurotypical people do this to each other? Or just me because there's something inherently 'wrong' with me. Am I annoying? Or not fun to be with? I don't know. I feel alone and friendless and depressed. Trying to meet new people is so hard for me. My kneejerk reaction was that I want to move and ... |

I am feeling really upset. My friend just cancelled on the morning we were supposed to meet. After telling me yesterday that instead of lunch, could we do breakfast because they have to pick up a sofa. My other 'friend' hasn't responded to my message asking if they wanted to meet up. I feel so small... |

I had similar to what you all are describing when I was first diagnosed at age 55. What parts of me was learned skills and what parts of me is faking out myself? I did not know and it bothered me. I finally figured out that at this point in my life everything is too fused together to be able to sep... |

If you know that you do the equivalent of a Sallyanne test every day, and you don't even know that you failed the Sallyanne test, why are you fixated on it? I don't understand your question. Why are you embarrassed about the Sallyanne test, when there is no evidence that you failed it and... |

I'm sorry. She sounds toxic, but I know what it's like to stay in a bad situation because being alone feels worse.
Could you take her to see your doctor with you? Perhaps they could help explain. I can't help but think the problem is her though, and not you. |

Yes I like cartoons, especially drawn ones. I sometimes watch the new Disney stuff, but it isn't the same as the classics.
I like old Disney, that Raccoons show (I can't remember exactly what it's called), Babar the Elephant, My Little Pony, Recess, Rugrats and my favourite - Arthur. |
