Sir Julian Lewis ticks all the boxes for fully fledged “Swivel-eyed-loon”. He’s more of a danger to the British people than a radicalised aspie. I hold a view that the conservative party has lost its way and has become rotten. I blame them for brexit, the whole thing started as an internal problem ...

In the 2000s I became hugely interested in Napoleonic era cavalry and wrote 6 articles on the subject, 3 published online and 3 in print journals. I think that qualified as a 'special interest'. Some of the articles have since been cited in books.

"The study identified 194 significantly different genes in the brains of people with autism. Of those genes, 143 produced more mRNA (upregulated) and 51 produced less (downregulated) in autistic brains than in typical ones." Er, no. The genes are not different at all, just the level of exp...

I switch between the flat affect face when interacting with strangers, to a face that is an open book, reflecting my emotions exactly, when relaxed, talking to intimates.

Everything is "too". Too loud, too bright, too tight, too itchy, too anxious, too tired, too engrossed, too scattered, too particular ... The only thing I've never experienced is boredom. I am also totally immune to boredom, except in airports waiting for a flight. Probably due to being u...

There is no medication effective for autism, as it is caused by the way our brains are wired and work. Medication is really only useful for comorbidities, such as depression and anxiety. Of course, medication is developed for the neurotypical brain, because it is in the majority, and such medication...

Apparently dark brown, with no reddish tint. However, in very strong light, the central area is yellowish brown, the outer part an olive green.

It depends on how expensive the drink is, and whether or not you wish to share. A £50:00 a bottle single malt whisky, or a single pot still whiskey, I am likely to sip on my own!

Yeah, true. I was drinking vodka and using the gum to cover it, and no one seemed to notice (or at least no one had the balls to call me out if they did, which is fine I guess lol). I chew that type of gum all the time though, so it's probably less of a red flag if I do that than anything else. Vod...

I do not get any 'high' from exercise. Zero endorphins are released if I physically exert myself to any extent. I just get the physical exhaustion, breathlessness and aching limbs. This is a huge disincentive for me to exercise, no immediate reward at all.

I learned to tell the time very late. It was a result of my slippery hold on time. I tell the time visually, from the clock/watch face and I cannot translate my visual knowledge of 'what o'clock it is' into speech easily. If any one asks me on the street what time it is, I just pretend I don't have ...

Of course, most right-wing radicals are neurotypical, like most people are, but this is not commented on. There may be some autistics who are easily led into extremism, however, I think that most autistics are less open to manipulation, as they are less impacted by social pressures. Many autistics a...

This isn't a competition. We shouldn't be making it one. Each Autistic person's needs are equally valid and should be met. 1) No it isn't. It is a discussion or dialogue. It was posited that being a 'high functioning' autistic was a privilege in comparison to the situation of 'more overtly affected...

There needs to understand the privilege in being "high functioning", "high masking", or low support needs. I do not think that being "high functioning" is much of a privilege. Being able to do things, I worked full-time for 36 years, can be more stressful, more anxiety...

Was just saying if a documentary is being made about a condition with a spectrum of disability on national TV, then the least it should be is balanced and show each side. His first documentary wasn't, however judging by the last 1st episode this was an improvement, have to wait and see The man who ...
