I get that hyperfocus too. Sometimes it's a good thing, I think. As a fraud detection analyst it helps me pick up on patterns and details in data that others would miss. I used to exercise heavily for many years. Running, cycling, etc. Breathing through the mouth was necessary to get enough air. Now I breathe through my mouth out of habit all the time.

Would not recommend - makes for bad breath
