Does anybody know the data integrity of dial-up Internet connection? Does dial-up use sound tones to represent digits? If so, wouldn't dial-up have less integrity than a broadband connection?

I did not find it easier, but harder. I have many stories, but do not want to put anyone off going; I managed to make it all the way, though. Anyway, these days there is more support available.

Wow. What kept you motivated? What's your secret?

I have AS and am thinking about someday going to a university (but not a local college, due to bad experiences). Can any of you guys share your university experiences? Do you think it's a good idea, or do you think I should just stick with the local college idea? I've been told by a lot of people th...

I like big cities. More people, more types of people, more stores, more places to go, more services, etc. People might say having more stores or places doesn't matter, but it does matter for stores or places that are less common. Like say you wanna find a place that teaches a martial art which isn'...

I'm a 21-year-old Aspie who's lived my whole life in a small, depressing town. I can't relate to ANYBODY and I find that people are very ignorant (to put it mildly). They'll avoid me or (seemingly) have an agenda against me, but when I ask them what I should do to better my life, they'll say things ...

Why not just open a second window in Firefox Instead of comitting another mass of RAM for Chrome to reside in? do a lot of people normally have like 40 tabs open in firefox? sounds like that would take a while to reload 30-50 tabs. i don't get why one would open up another browser that isn't lightw...

30 to 50 tabs, and it takes to long to open, what do you expect a miracle. No, no, no, I'm not cutting down Firefox. All I'm saying is that because I have 50 tabs open in Firefox, I'm starting to use Chrome for small things, and leave the other things to Firefox. When most people are using one, I a...

Can you please clarify more? Are you saying that your missions go on forever? In that case there could be infinitely many models. For instance, I could increase by 0.001%, then 0.0001%, then 0.00001%, and so on, in addition to the standing boost. Or I could increase by 0.002%, 0.0002%, 0.00002%, and...

I am a complete Firefox fan. However, I save many of my browsing sessions for another time, so every time I open Firefox it takes minutes to reload all of my tabs (I may have 30 to 50 at any given time) and add-ons. That is why I have been using Google Chrome a lot just for quickly finding small pie...

Do you think it's possible for scientists or companies to reverse-engineer food to find special trade secrets? For example, do you think Pepsi could analyze the Coca-Cola soft drink (with the aid of the list of the ingredients on the label) to find the Coca-Cola formula? How about the FBI? Could the...

His name is Claude, according to some evidence.

I'm just curious because people have been saying that I must be on it. I've heard of at least 3 different people wondering about it behind my back, one of whom was a cop who was talking to my dad. Two other people have asked me right to my face (including a medical nurse). It sounded as if they all ...

It is neurobiological disorder, as I explained before. Somewhat genetic.

Yeah, that's the word I should have used.

I have some questions for my fellow Aspies. I hope this doesn't cause a huge debate. I know that many people have good evidence that Asperger's is neurobiological and so forth, and I know that some people just WANT to believe that their disorders are inherent, but I'm just focusing on anecdotal evid...

Try Game Maker . It's one of the most awesome programs ever. You don't really need to know much about programming, as it is mostly GUI. If you know a little bit about "if" statements and object-oriented programming, you should be fine. Additionally, you can create your own script extensions. I've ma...
