You know there was a time that I craved advice about my aspie friend, but that passed. It took forever to know that he even considered us as friends, but now I know that he loves me a lot and that he always will. This topic was posted because I believe aspies get a bad rap. I have almost ever book w... |

It still hurts a lot though. I realize that he wasn't what he wanted me to think he was, but when you care for someone it's hard to just get up one day and not care. My Aspie friend has been the best for looking out for me during this time. If anything it's caused he and me to be closer. I think it'... |

I had deep feelings for an aspie friend of mine for a couple of years, but it just never seemed to get off the ground. He always resisted the idea of dating and insisted that we remain just friends. We've always done things that a normal couple would do minus the physical intimate stuff. We have not... |

I think when it comes to feeling love for another person our hearts overrule our minds. And when we get our hearts involved then there's the incentive to work things out. I've always been completely honest about my feelings for someone that is on the spectrum. I care a great deal about him and I'm N... |

I think the more you are around him the more you will learn what it takes to communicate with him and he will learn the same thing about you. My aspie friend calms me. I can spend hours with him saying very little and think we have had the best visit ever, because I take that calmness back with me. ... |

Maybe it's my age, but looks doesn't even make my list when it comes to looking for a partner to be in a relationship with. I prefer someone that lets me be me and enjoys some of the same things I do. I also want a guy that has a lot of character and values. |

I think I would prefer to feel the agape and storge kind then! I know that sounds rather silly, but for me it would be best. I don't mind feeling passion for someone, but I would prefer to actually enjoy being with that person when the lights were on too. |

Maybe that's the deal then. I just enjoy doing the same things he does. We do the movie and eating out thing, but I prefer just grabbing something and eating with him. Then we both like to look at historical places and graveyards, so we usually have a pretty decent time. I must stress though that we... |

Is withdrawing from everything something all aspies do? I know an aspie that does this quite often, but I always suggest getting together or doing something that he enjoys when this happens. I still think you could find a female that was interested in the same things that you are. |

I agree to a certain point with what you write, but you do have to show up! This means if the girl doesn't come to your house you may have to find her. There's millions of girls out there looking for a nice person to be in a relationship with. Aspergers causes communication problems, but it is still... |

I think we create our own reality. If you believe it strongly enough, it will happen! And that means you have to get rid of all the negativity too. |

If you read most of my posts you will see that I very much support people who have Aspergers. Actually I'm very fond of several people on the Autism Spectrum. My intent wasn't to offend anyone. The post was a reply to someone that writes books concerning NT women in relationships with males who have... |
