Huckleberry thank you I agree with you there. It sounds like you have put a lot of thought into it, maybe, like me, you have been granted a lot of time to think. I am just having a go at improving my clock reading speed to see if it helps my self-diagnosed dyspraxia. I am using a three-handed intera... |

Everyone on one side of the family, no-one on the other side. Do they respond when I keep in touch, no, maybe because they don't know they are neurodiverse. |

I think dyslexia might be a symptom of dyspraxia. I guess it isn't surprising that it's confusing :p |

I don't know if it's an autistic thing, it may be. I do have a relative diagnosed with autism and dyspraxia, and who had a very hard time reading analog clocks. I read that autism and dyspraxia are intertwined but half what I read online is false, I just don't know which half. I don't really think m... |

I am just having a go at improving my clock reading speed to see if it helps my self-diagnosed dyspraxia. I am using a three-handed interactive clock I found online, writing the time I think it says, and then checking the digital answer. Has anyone done the Arrowsmith school clock exercises? Maybe w... |

Hi, this sounds difficult for you and I am sorry you are going through this. I wouldn't try to get at the problem directly, my suggestion is that you look into "intensive interaction" on YouTube. I think your son cannot understand "socially unacceptable" until he has some "s... |

I'm sorry for what you are going through OP and I don't really know what to say. For myself I am learning about Intensive Interaction on YouTube, especially Phoebe Caldwell. I have more than one ASD child but they are adults now. I assumed the more disabled one would grow out of their social difficu... |

Hi everyone My adult child with autism and delusions has moved to residential care fairly late in life. I'm not in the US. They have their own room in a larger place with 10-20 others. It's still quite recent and they are settling in with a few tricky problems such as the staff being avoidant of par... |

That's what I call a high-quality no.
It sounds like you are looking for "meeting people" and "handling situations" skills whereas I think Crappy Childhood Fairy talks more about once you are getting closer to people, are they a friend or not. All good. |

There's a book and a film called "He's just not that into you" that you might like. Also, I think, if it hurts, it isn't love. I hope you meet someone nice soon. |

Does anyone have a kind of social anxiety where you are scared, not before or during social events, but of being forgotten, for example during the holidays? |

Why do I still hate my younger self? People tell me that I was just young and stupid, but the thing is, I did things that I would have known were wrong when I was even younger, like in grade school, so I don't think I could say I didn't know better because I did, I was just impulsive and selectivel... |

Edna that sounds like just what I am talking about. It could be sleep, or the perfect combination of supplements, or a chance lack of allergic foods. I also had a couple of days where my breathing fell into the right rhythm and I was unable to feel any anxiety. I'm always looking for the next clue t... |

I've definitely experienced that sort of "clearing." the biggest reason I'm not fond of functioning labels is because I do not function the same day to day. I'd hate to be tied to a functioning label when it doesn't fit me. some days are better than others. so, some days, it's clear. ish.... |
