Not really 'toys' but I like playing with pegs when I'm reading or concentrating on something. It's either a matter of squeezing them so they open and close, or leaving them clamped on my fingertips. For some reason, I quite like the pressure.

When I used to smoke, that would have probably been top of the list, but now it's cycling slowly on a more-or-less flat cement path through a shadowy, lush green area. It's very calming, gliding along with no effort, and I will literally pedal miles to get to such a place.

ADHD and ASD can have VERY VERY similar symptoms, my understanding is that they tend to have different reasons behind them. Very true. I've received an ADHD diagnosis (during which the doc mentioned that I had ASD traits), and have just started meds. They help me concentrate a bit better, but any c...

A massive work and a real page turner, especially once you get into it.

I don't know if anyone else had this experience, but I found it had a very dry, dark kind of humour in it at times.

As per the subject line - just wondering if there are many other Alice in Wonderland / Through the Looking-Glass fans out there? I'm referring particularly to the books.

If you, what's your favourite character? (I've got a soft spot for Humpty Dumpty.)

Steven Wright has no equal.

Deadpan, surreal and hilarious. I don't get sick of listening to him and his material doesn't age.

No idea if he's on the spectrum, but he might as well be.

I've been on a couple of different antidepressants - for anxiety / depression, and long before ASD was considered a possibility: Citalopram (SSRI) which I didn't find helpful. Imipramine (older tricyclic) which I did feel gave me more energy and clearer thinking, contrary to what it said on the box....

I can't stand very greasy foods. Part of that is hating the greasy sensation on hands and / or lips. All fat gets trimmed and I eat nothing fried. The only fats I can really eat are in nuts and avocado (spread on bread, not eaten in slices or chunks).
