The vast majority of the time, the vast majority of people never think about things which are vastly larger than them nor those which are vastly smaller.

Yet these make up the vast majority of the universe.

I have an MP3 player but I rarely use it - for one thing I dont like wearing earphones as they make my ears hurt very quickly. Secondly, I need and like to hear what is going on around me most of the time (the thought of walking in the town and not being able to hear things - Id probably get hit by...

Personally, I cannot stand the idea of having noise pumped directly into my ears while I am out and about. I can maybe, just maybe, see the appeal if I did stationary workouts like an exercise bike or something. But I cannot imagine walking down a city street or jogging down a country path with anyt...

The movie Once Upon a Time in America belongs on any list of classic mafia movies. It's actually about the Jewish-American mob, but is in every other way the same as Italian mob stories. (And ironically the main character is played by an Italian, Robert De Niro). P.S. In Polski: http://pl.wikipedia....

Just as an aside... it just so happens I had just been reading about the mirror test : gauging an animal's self-awareness by its ability to recognize itself in a mirror. (I know it's not the same as the topic of this thread, but similar enough that I thought it provided some interesting depth to the...

for me,the one thing i noticed was the eyes. its like they can all see my thoughts.. :? Yeah, I think you nailed it. I've kinda learned to deal with NTs; how to play their game. But with aspies, the game isn't there. It's just raw truth staring back at you. One would think that that would be refres...

I don't know how an in-person test is administered, but there is a lot of info at the bottom of this page: http://www.rdos.net/eng/Aspie-quiz.php (plus, of course, the Aspie Quiz itself).

What if anything brought you to this idea? For quite a while, I worked in information technology. I managed to avoid my peers most of the time :), but when I did encounter them, I saw a self-resemblance in many of them that was rather unsettling. Certainly not everyone, but the ones who did resembl...

Username: That nickname goes way back. The internet has always known me as the toe.

Avatar: I like snorkeling. One time, on an island near Puerto Rico, this group of Caribbean reef squid was floating all around me. The one pictured here came that close to my camera.

Looking in a camera can be learned, but it still something to be stressed about for three days. But in the faces there is a lack of sharpness or something. From the hairline down to the (coronoid process of the) jaw, the facial shape is very straight. From there, the jawline looks very rounded down...

It's the aspie dream, but I feel a bit daunted by it. There's no council garbage collection, you have to take it to the tip. Any advice or comments? For advice, I'd just ask to make sure you're ready for lots of hard physical work. Does sound like fun. As for having to haul your own garbage, I thin...

I'm guessing I'm going to piss some people off with this, but it's an honest observation... When I look through the pics in the " Post a Picture of the Real You " thread, I see a striking similarity among the male pictures, and a different similarity in the female pictures. Or maybe it's the same th...

Obviously I mean we should be given equality of treatment-as in for instance job interviews where our percieved lack of NT body language and/or eye contact should not be held against us and jobs denied us. An interview is a test to see how well you will perform as an employee, so an interviewer may...

Previous sports have been tennis, golf (yuck), disc golf (much better), soccer, and hiking (if that counts). Oh, and I forgot to mention snorkeling. It's not much of a sport, but if you love it as much as I do, it's pretty physically demanding. Especially if you combine it with kayaking. :) The pic...

YES!! !! HIGH FIVE!! !! fellow athlete here =D What sport or activity do you do? I tend to do one sport at a time. For the past years, it has been biking. I ride a crummy little mountain bike, yet usually only the serious cyclists (racers and tourers) seem to pass me. Previous sports have been tenn...
