Really, now. Such thigs can help but is it a good idea to give people a crutch? I'm saying in rare instances this might work, but for every Autistic or Asperger? Nah. It'll make too many people dependent on something. |

I added a section to my personal narrative on the subject of "Empathy and Compensations": http://narrative.neurelitism.com In it, I refer to my own experiences, as a sociologist, practicing methodological empathy ( Verstehen ) or cultural relativism. I explain how Verstehen helped compensate for my... |

Not me. Playing alone was being different. Being different is being a non conformist. Non conformists automatically have severe psychological problems. Childhood was a baaaaaaad time for me... |

There does seem to be a higher prevalence among those descended from English and Northern European stock. We seem to be concentrated in England, Austrailia, and across North America. If I'm not mistaken, Austrailia is where the British sent a lot of their "criminals" (social deviants). Actually, to... |

I think some people are missing the point. I'm not saying that one or the other is superior or inferior to the next. I'm saying that their frame of mind is archaic. Primitive, an evolutionary throwback - like the appendix. I pity them because; if all evidence is to be believed, classic "humans" are ... |

I'll tell ya who I hate. Wait for it... you waiting? Keep waiting... I hate... people that I hate! Tada! What's all this then, eh? The reason neurotypicals don't like to say hate is because most neurotypicals now went to school during the "P.C" age, and were trained to be scared of their own emotion... |

This is an odd question, I know, but who actually pities neurotypicals? By my view, they are less capable than many Aspergers at things that matter. Certainly, better at socialisation - less clumsy, better short-term memory. As for technical abilities, they have something of a more generalised area ... |

Well, I'm a technological genius. Sometimes you get savant abilities, but usually most people with Aspergers are more technically able than normies. |

Again; who cares? Yeah, you can suffer - hell, I've suffered the rocks being thrown a my head, the insults, the spitting. But, really, who cares? The people who want to view us as crippled and incapable like to think they care; people who constantly bag on normies for being normies (I get it; they'r... |

I can tell you from experience "treatment" is a myth. There is no magic cure. Aspergers is not a disease with a fix. It is who, it is what you are. Though there are countless concepts of treatments, virtually limitless examples - none, and I mean this, none are real. Neurotypicals think they are rea... |

Gods; I hate being touched so much! It's hard to explain to most people, though. We're in a very "touch-centric" culture. One of the guys at work slaps me on the shoulder, in a friendly way when he says hello, of course. It's really uncomfortable, but people don't seem to be able to understand why. ... |

Uh, GodsGadfly, you do know I meant Jesus could not have caused Aspergers because there is no Jesus? I don't mean to offend - but, in all my research, with all my science, I have never, ever encountered any evidence of such. The only times I've ever heard of Jesus are from Catholic and Christian refe... |

I wonder; if I were to move to another country - what nation would those people then think I'm from?
Oh, and Felinity - if you're thinking about moving to Australia; degrees in medicine or technology would be what you'd need most, of course it all depends on what city in what state. |
