Haven't read all answers, as I am in a hurry today, but here's my thoughts. I can't speak for your husband, maybe he has difficulty either feeling or recognizing emotion. He must feel something or he wouldn''t be with you ten years? But for your son, I wouldn't worry. I am an aspie adult, and I ador...

Ok. Autism is a spectrum. So anything is possible. For example, most people wouldn't have a clue I don't like change. I love exotic holidays, spur-of-the-moment outings and visits etc. I have next to no routine, and I would just mess it up with impulses if I had one. However I do hate it and get ups...

I wam watching my baby like a hawk as she reaches a diagnosable age. She's definitely boarderline and that is fine with me, but whether she ticks the right boxes to get a diagnoses is anyones guess yet. :) I don't mind whether she is diagnosed or not, I just hope that we have some stuff in common as...

Ok... two sides. First some of those treatments are inhumane, and horrific, and no sane person should be subjecting children to them. HOWEVER... I go to a DAN precticioner (mentioned in the article) and she has advised nothing more serious than a good vitamin suppliment, avoidance of certain food ad...

I am a parent with Aspergers. I did always do extra curricular activities. Not only that but my mom used to make playdates and encourage me to go out with friends even when I didn't want to. In hindsight this is where I learned to make small talk, to talk to NT peers and many other skills. I didn't ...
