In general: the difference is people with social anxiety can communicate and read social cues completely fine but they are just constantly terrified and self-conscience of themselves that they might do something wrong. Verses people with aspergers arent aware of themselves and cant read social cues ... |

I just got tested enough to get the needed accommodation. Otherwise I have a social anxiety which is not so much ... |

From making lots and lots of mistakes. Making a fool of myself constantly and just doing things wrong. It takes lots of practice in just everyday life. You can memorize as much social skills as you want but you have no clue what everything means until you actually apply it. But it does help to get a... |

I think this question is highly subjective. Id assume most people would rate their AS functioning as pretty high. I personally pick 9 because I go to college out of state. Im very responsible and I take care of myself. In the functioning areas, Im pretty much comparable to an NT. In the social aspec... |

Ok so we all know that aspie girls mask and camoflauge their difficulties and often come across as normal. Because of this: do a lot of aspie girls just not have that outward awkwardness about them? Im speaking strictly from a outside perspective. I was wondering. How exactly do you aspie girls mask... |

I dont think so. I didnt watch that season of ANTM but in I watched an interview with her and her eye contact just seemed very NT. The way she spoke was pretty NT. She maybe a bit of a geeky but i dont think so. She made really good eye contact. She seemed very engaging. |

So I was really curious about the concept of having maternal instincts. I mean: I dont get it. I know some people are just good with children and some arent. I am horrible with kids: I cant take care of a kid to save my life. Of course I dont have any. And I thought may lack of being able to take ca... |
