What exactly is asexuality? Does it mean you simply have no desire to have an intimate relationship, or could it mean that you want to, but are physically unable to do so? Here's the situation...I have posted here a few times in the past, and I was lamenting the fact that because I just so happen to...

Perhaps the best thing you can do in the short term is to set up a profile on OKCupid and start messaging some people in your area whom you find interesting. The main thing to keep in mind is to keep things fun, light, and casual. Even though a lot of people on OKCupid say they're looking for "long...

Let me ask a question to those who are resigned...if you don't mind me asking. Is it because people are consistently "spooked out" by you or is it because people are actually attracted to you but you don't know how to approach the issue?

[quote="techstepgenr8tion] I think a lot of people have to just to save their own mental health. Hope can be a powerful tool but when you're really in a trapped situation it'll eat away at and destroy you more than anything. That said though as much as I've tried to beat it down in the past its stil...

Hurrmark55, I have a feeling that if you do end up 51 and single I'll probably be right there with you a t 48. After years of socially hyperanalyzing myself, getting after myself to fix every little thing I found wrong with the way I came off, I realized that what it is in my own case is a form of ...

I never had a problem with math...it was always my strongest subject. I guess if Aspies were surveyed, I would suspect more would have trouble with English than math. When you're doing a math problem, there is always a "right" and "wrong" answer. There isn't a specific solution in other subject matt...

Well, here I go...I'm 30 years old, live in the Boston area. I have a master's degree in meteorology, although I am a business analyst at an insurance company. I am 5' 10"...about 170 pounds. I am a "nice guy", but I guess I am rather shy...I might have some trouble expressing myself without stumbli...

I have absolutely no interest in anime...or sci fi or fantasy (I left in the middle of Lord of the Rings, I was so bored  )

When you say close friends, meaning I discuss everything with them and see them frequently, I guess you can say I have two or three. However, I have many other friends in the area...many of them I see every week or every other week or so, and I have a couple of friends from graduate school who I am ...

Thank you...I really think a lot of it is frustration more than anything else. As I said, I am incredibly persistent, and I'm going to continue to try. Someone mentioned meeting people at activities...that's a good idea, but the problem is that, like most Aspie's (and guys in general), I am terrifie...

They definitely can be learned...you'd be surprised how many mistakes I made with regard to "common sense" matters, and quickly learned not to do them again so I wouldn't make a fool of myself...

I make 60k and believe me...it's not exactly the greatest of pay in this neck of the woods (Boston). It is definitely not enough to buy a house, and even a small condo can be very iffy. Many people making that and even more in this town have to work two jobs. If you live in South Carolina or some pl...

Yes. No question about that one.

Only one; it lasted about three months.

Was it hard? Let me know! ^^

I would say it was.

I posted here a couple of times before, but I figured I would pop in again. Anyway, I just turned 30 and I was diagnosed with AS about nine or ten years ago. Compared to others with AS, I have done fairly well. I have a master's degree and a steady job...I live independently, am fairly active within...
