I always say that honesty is the best policy. I would tell them everything that you know and jsut present it like a case, however, don't just mention that AS is a handicap; also tell them the good things about the condition, such as higher concentration skills or the ability to think differently to ...

I also feel like I do not belong o this world as well. I jsut feel like a guest amoung many NT's, as if they are just being good hosts when they are around me. However, there are some people who I can turn too; some people who I do not feel so alien when I am around them. I date an NT and slowly I a...

I'm scared, I think my girlfriend is going to dump me soon. She never wants to spend time with me and everytime i'm not around I feel like I am unwelcome. I asked for us to spend some personal time together, maybe organise a date; btu she says she is too busy, yet she is organising events with one o...

I HATE going to a special school. in normal schools, i get the living tar beaten out of me, so in a way, bullies have sent me to a special school. im too smart for special schools! my parent agree, my teachers agree and 'doctors' agree too. i took an IQ test the other day and i scored have an iq of...

AS people see less of a need for unnecessary language, people have asked me since I was in y7 why I don't swear. They swear their head off and I don't understand why most of the time (i'm not perfect and I do swear a bit) its just not needed. I can't see it as a weakness.

In my opinion reasons for feeling ill can be two of the following, either you feel really nervous and stressed out (so you feel sick), or cleaning releases dust and allergies start to become a problem. My allergies start up everytime I start cleaning; best treated with antihistamines.

On a more serious note: Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't sociopaths have an excellent TOM? I'm no expert, although I did do quite a bit of reading about Antisocial Personality Disorder or sociopathy after an encounter with someone who appears to fit the symptoms. I don't recall coming across anyt...

i don't let people get close enough to put me in that position. good thing, too. i flunked the video tests where i had to pick which story was a lie. though i did loan 3500 once to a friend that i knew would pay me back. everyone told me i was a ret*d, but i was paid back within a couple weeks (it ...

I have only met one AS sociopath, if there are as psychopaths out there; I personally believe that it can't have anything to do with AS. I'm sure if you looked at the stats for dyslexia, dyspraxia or ADHD, you'd notice that they would have a handfull of serial killers; theres got to be. AS in my bel...

Yes. It's caused by opiates. Many autistics have a higher tolerance for pain due to high levels of opiates due to undigested proteins from gluten and dairy foods. If you go on a gluten-free/dairy free diet, your pain sensitivity should become normal after a week or two. Someone punched me on the ar...

I've noticed most AS people can be taken advantage of (i've never done it myself) since they can be very trustworthy people. I've only ever met one AS person who took advantage of people; from what i've noticed though this seems to be an isolated incident.

This could be true. But I have met an AS adolescent who doesn't think all of the effects of her actions and believes there is nothing else apart from herself that is important. She definitely does have a sense of self.
