Fundamentalist Muslim. Not that Fundamentalist Christian is any better: Deuteronomy 22:28-29 NLT: If a man is caught in the act of raping a young woman who is not engaged, he must pay fifty pieces of silver to her father. Then he must marry the young woman because he violated her, and he will never...

For the record, yes it is possible to be addicted to exercise. I sort of know how you feel though because I've been thorough depression myself. You seem to be using exercise to distract yourself from your depression. No offence, but if you haven't sought help for your depression you should really do...

I don't get the bit where it says that genetic manipulation is a sin. If the Vatican means both human and non-human genetic manipulation is a sin (the article was unclear) then the Vatican themseleves may have already sinned as we all techinically eating genetically modified food (as selective breed...

The problem with Autism Speaks is not that they are supporting a cure. The problem is that they do not try to help the people with Autism or their families. Whilst they are whipping up hysteria and chasing dreams of a cure and finding a cause, people on the Spectrum are desperately needing help. Add...

Maybe your mum's just being over-protective? She says I want to be become an adult (I'm 16 and yes I do) but I am not because of that random burst of anger. That seems to suggest that she sees adults as people who 'control' their emotions (i.e. do not have a sudden burst of anger). Maybe you should ...

Here's an interesting point... Say a cure was created. If there was a choice of whether or not to have a cure then some people would take it. But, some people with severe autism appear to lack capcity. People who lack capacity still have rights but they might not be able to make a decision. What the...

I pretended to be normal for some time. Didn't work. The problem for me and probably lots of other people is that society attempts to stereotype you so that you 'fit in' with their comfort zone, so to speak. If you don't fit into a stereotype then society ignores you until you pretend you do.

It's kind of hard to explain the criteria but I will use an example to illustrate some of the differences. My brother has autism and a PDD. In the US autism is a PDD.
