Names never seem to register as important information when I hear them.. I'll literally forget someone's name five minutes after they've told me. This leads to some potentially embarrassing situations, particularly at work when I never bothered to learn the names of people I interact with every day....

Its definitely an annoying question. I've tried most of the aforementioned things at one time or another. I find that humor or sarcasm usually just confuses people, and they're almost never looking for a literal answer. Now I just respond to it with a automatic nod and/or 'Hey', without thinking abo...

I tend to prefer the subbed translation better than the dub most of the time. Also, some of the english voice acting is enough to make me cringe, especially if I saw the japanese version first.

The only thing worse is when they start giggling about something and you don't know what it is. I know its probably got nothing to do with me, but I still can't help feeling paranoid whenever that kind of thing happens, always feel like they're laughing at me.
