| what annie2 said he sounds like someone who would be better off if eased into it. jumping right into it especially with words like 'syndrome' might freak him out too much. He might not hear anything else after that. I'd probably stick with somthing like you've got some MILD characteristics of autism... |

| I haven't told my 7 year old yet. I'm going to do it in the summer. I don't want him to suddenly get self-conscious in the middle of a school year just in case. Smaller things have thrown him out of whack for a couple of weeks at school before so it seems less risky with a few months of nice weather... |

| it depends what's being cured. my son's got 1, 2 max, years of innocent happiness left before he gets to the age where he'll most likely be torn to pieces by bullies. | have him write about things he likes or is interested in at home for practice. it slowly but surely carried over to school for our son.
