Thanks for the link. Yeah, my current psychiatrist did mention tics in the potential "horrors" of stimulants. My heart goes out to you. Having only had it for a brief time, I can't picture the challenge of having it for decades. The person who put me on the Adderall to begin with was an id... |

Are you fatigued and tired? Or does your head just feel empty?
I'd say get your vitamin B and D levels checked, if nothing else. I found out I was pretty badly deficient in vitamin D and it seems to be helping to take a weekly supplement. |

I was wondering if anyone else had the unique experience of acquiring Tourette's when being put on Adderall or a similar medication (and having to therefore stop the medication). I had Adderall for two weeks back in 2015 and started to notice myself making strange facial movements, jerking my leg a ... |

I would suggest, in discovering your autism, there's one thing I can think of that would help. Figure out your sensory needs and what you can do to calm them. If you are hypersensitive, it works wonders to just come up with a few things you can get (such as fuzzy blankies) and stuff you can find onl... |

I just have a quick question, do discussions about books and reading go here or in the entertainment forum? Being the literal thinker I am, no board concretely says "books." |

Autism isn't easy, that's true. The worst part is when people think we're grumpy or unfriendly, when we just have that look on our face all the time  The title of this thread sums it up pretty nicely. Since I've joined this forum I've had a strange feeling like I might say something that someon... |

I've been using the phrase "Square peg in round hole" for years! I think it perfectly describes people like us, we have no choice but to shove the wrong peg in the wrong hole because the world is built for NTs Do know, though, that message boards are better than nothing and can positively ... |

I'll keep this brief, my name is Rocky, 30yo cis woman, and I was diagnosed with Asperger's at age 10. Unfortunately, by the time I was 18 the diagnosis was removed, as I was told that I don't "present" like an Aspie. (I'm just very good at masking.) I have a laundry list of diagnoses but ... |
