I like sunlight, and incandescent light doesn't bother me so long as it's not excessive or right in my face. Bright white fluorescent lights, I hate. |

I am female. 99% sure I have Asperger's, but not formally diagnosed. Definitely heterosexual, but I've been a tomboy almost from infancy. I would not consider myself an "alpha female" either, I'm far too introverted for that. Scored highest on visual math on most online tests. My ring finger is also... |

Primarily visual. I translate everything I hear or read or think into something visual. Once in awhile I have pretend verbal conversations in my head, though there is usually still some visual element to the thoughts behind the words. To really understand something I have to see it visually in my he... |

As far as i'm concerned i should have equal rights and opportunities with an equivalently intelligent NT. Describing myself as learning disabled hinders my chances of making the most of my intellect. Since it establishes me as "slow" in the eyes of the majority of society. It's a neurological diffe... |

Pretty much yeah. Although my hair is very straight and tends to get oily if I don't blowdry. So I usually take a few minutes to blowdry. No styling though, and my mom even does the cutting for me. No layers either. I basically have the hair style of an eight year old girl. Elaborate styles never wo... |

I'm surprised no one else has mentioned this (unless I've overlooked it), but many jobs that don't require college degrees do require good social skills. That will no doubt be discovered imediatly during the interview. So we are already hindered in that sense, regardless of our reading or math compr... |

The only one I didn't check was the one about pain. It didn't specify what kinds of pain. I can tolerate most physical pain well. My ears are very sensitive, though, and I can't handle too much noise or too much cold wind. |

From the videos I've seen, the only pattern that stands out to me is the expression and the way the eyes move. Almost all autistics look very similar in that sense. |

No. I'm for sure a tomboy, and ever since I was a baby I identified more with boys and boy interests than with girls and girl interests. Yet I've never had a problem with being female myself, just a problem with the way I'm expected to behave as a female. I don't think humans are as hardwired as mos... |

I've been underweight from early childhood to late adolescence. Then I went on Paxil and gained a little weight. 145 pounds was the most I ever weighed, which for being 5'9" is still not that much. I now weigh in the 130s, which I think for my height and small frame size is about right. |

I dislike most women's clothing, but generally don't wear men's clothing with the exception of small t-shirts that fit well. That makes shopping long and frustrating. However some of the current women's styles have become a little more tolerable. Most men's t-shirts are boxy, have sleeves that are t... |

Not so good if there's too many people. If it's a few people, and I find them to be friendly, I do ok. From my point of view, anyway. |

(Not diagnosed.) Animals and insects, as far back as I can remember. I can only remember some of my more specific ones showing up when I was around 7 or 8. I had some really repetetive behaviors around my interest in pirates when I was 8. I would draw and redraw the same treasure map, sometimes on a... |

You just described me pretty well. I'm also with you as far as the difference between childish and childlike. I know people who are childish, and I don't see myself that way most of the time. However my interests and priorities still seem like those of a child. Also my relationships with other peopl... |

If independent in the sense that I live away from parents, then no. And although I work full time and contribute my fair share, I do admit that I rely on them as if I was a young child. As much shame as I sometimes feel about that, it's not enough to make me want to try and be completely on my own. ... |
