Hi Chris, good to meet you. I'm Dave, and I've worked through this exact line of thinking that you're working on here, so maybe I can help you out a little. I hope you'll really take the time to read this and absorb it. I wish I did when I was your age... Probably would have saved me a few thousand ...

I like the fairy songs in both Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. Perhaps I could interest you in a little bit of Sam Griffin? Quite talented for a miserable pile of secrets ... https://youtu.be/jBgM1W1E70I?si=gcjCC8IPBEfgmBjd https://youtu.be/GkihZtbLN98?si=Y...

Or if feeling bold, a pair embroidered with "Reserved parking for [DaveAndZero]"

Oh, and another solid way of demonstrating interest.

Using orbital lasers, engrave an image of their face into a large swath of land. Wait for the next pass of updates to Google Earth. Drop them a location pin. Receive appreciation and admiration for this grand gesture.

I expect potential suitors to perform a mating dance. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W7QZnwKqopo Apart from that, I prefer that people are their authentic selves instead of pretending to be someone they aren’t. Being charming can be a red flag. 1) lovely clip from a lovely episode of a lovely seri...

It's too bad for anyone who came here for actual advice that this has turned into a joke thread. People can start a separate thread if they wish, but I made it clear in my OP that silliness was welcome. And extreme silliness, too. Happy to jump aboard that train. But for those who want more serious...

I put on my robe and wizard hat. Welcome, fellow wizard of culture. The magic of that reference grows proportionally to the amount of time elapsed since I've inserted it into someone's (consenting) life. Upon reflection, that's also exactly true for my junk. So, to answer the thread... if I whip ou...

Hi there H.A., I have a deep sympathy for you. I hope it helps to hear from someone else with a similar past... I understand what you're going through, perhaps much more than most people. I myself was an extremely promising child intellectually. But my executive function was always terrible. As is s...

Hey there MT. From another new person, welcome! Wishing you all the best on your journey of self-discovery. I recommend keeping a sense of humor about it, as well as a strong undercurrent of self-compassion. If you're anything like me, you might find yourself (unintentionally) replaying social situa...

Hi there MackTab, From one new person to another, welcome! Congrats on getting a diagnosis so early in your adult life - I wish desperately that I had done the same, but, c'est la vie. Happy for you! I also worked in hospitality for 5 years and I understand the struggle. Ugh. Every time I stay at a ...

Hi there Calyrex, I'm glad you're learning about yourself! I'm new here, too. I'll share some ideas with hopes that they might help. Part of my experience is that I treat everybody the same way regardless of their age or "social status", and interestingly, I treat myself the same way. I si...
