I really don't see this going in the direction of "school and college life." :P But anyway... I'm not religious because there is no objective evidence to support any of the claims various religions make. I'm atheist because I find the argument that there are no metaphysical beings to be most in line...

you may as well argue that you don't need to go to school at all; you can just buy textbooks and read them. :D Well... Let's see. Without actually going to college, can someone obtain a "college" education? Labs? Check. The university labs are not just for students. Research? Check. The scientific ...

I'm game. I usually go around as "Mr 2.718281828459045" or "Lasergun goes pewpew." I still prefer 1.6, but I HAVE been playing loads of source lately.

How about this thing called the internet? It's a very useful tool when learning ANY subject. Libraries are cool too. Your teacher seems to not care about your apparent thirst for learning. I find that disturbing.

I LOVE learning. It's the "schooling" bit that is iffy. Depends on the school's philosophy on learning.

Problems will only ever be "solved" when both parties decide to work together. If they don't, then the problem won't be solved. However, this doesn't mean that you have to sit and take whatever it is they're giving you. If words/diplomacy/insert-non-violent-method-here won't work, then you have ever...

Seeing as none of the poll options make any sense, even in regards to the following post, I guess I'm going to do my own thing :) Aspergers is just as much a real, documented disorder as autism is. It's called a spectrum for a reason. It is not a fabrication used to make money. I agree with your opi...

You sound like the kind of person who should actually be going to college. This is a very good thing. I'm willing to bet you'll love the change of lifestyle when you get there, free to do things your own way. Not to "do whatever" but to "do" in the manner that best suits you. I hope that when you do...

I can see the dancer spinning both ways. It's easy to get her to switch: look at her feet. Notice that she is reflected on the ground. This is what enables the image to appear to spin "both ways." It's a mirror, and the direction that the dancer spins will be opposite of that of the image. Just depe...

Three words: OLD DOS GAMES. Nearly all of them are abandonware or freeware. They are extremely fun. I've done a lot of tweaking to each old game I have in order to get it to run on xp. So far, I haven't had to get an emulator :P

It just finally hit me how pathetic it is that I'm forcing myself to do something that renders me temporarily insane, but what am I supposed to tell the teacher? "Sorry, I didn't do it because I was busy doing my own thing". Well, I tell my teachers that. They actually like it. I even go in and ask...

Don't forget Ron Paul! I disagree on several accounts with that man, but overall, he has the right idea. And think of the realities of a Ron Paul presidency: he'd veto anything unconstitutional. ANYTHING. Quite frankly, nothing would get done --UNLESS the parties worked together and overrode the vet...

Figured I'd jump into the fray... I don't date. I just don't. The entire concept itself makes no sense to me. You have no clue who this person even IS, yet you want to engage in a relationship with them? No thanks. I'm also perfectly well aware that the rest of society is in stark disagreement with ...

I finished it in one night and got an A-. I try my hardest not to do projects last minute --though given the fact that I'm in HS and forced to do loads of pointless busywork, it gets difficult. However, when you finish a project in one night and get an A, while knowing others worked for weeks and g...

Is it pure hydrazine that is being used, or a hydrazine derivative? Regardless, the hype around it's toxicity is ridiculous. Yes, it is toxic, but it is also extremely volatile. If the fuel tank broke up during re-entry, you'd never see any of the hydrazine. Even if it didn't break up, the contamina...
