40 didn't seem like a big deal to me, but now I'm about to turn 45 and in the downhill straight to 50 I'm starting to get the fear. It isn't the age that bothers me so much, its the fact that I'm running out of time to have the life that I wanted to have. And I'm losing faith that I'm capable of ma...

Its a matter of perspective - Better for some folks is often worse for others. Even a "happily ever after story" ends badly for someone else involved. for individuals yes. OP muses about the general (inter)national state of affairs though. With lots of caveats some general answers can be ...

That's all I can say or get depressed over the news. we are around the same age. in the '80s we were taught that society grows towards prosperity for all. News has an honourable role in society. Politicians are kept in check by shame and public outrage. These ideas belong to the post WWII world. Bu...

I have a...

btw, I expect to feel suicidal again when some other stupidly painful geopolitical thing happens. I have now learned that I only have to let time pass and wait and that I will feel differently again. Still not thrilled to be here. But the suicidal episodes pass. I'll just be on the couch, knitting, ...

yes. it helps me think clearer. But it's me talking to myself. no. I go to my "skill"groups and connect to a human being. I do quilting and ceramics every week, in calm groups who both allow me to be me. They're not ASS groups. Both are with elderly women. no. I talk online and in whatsapp...

Hey, welcome. you're spot on with your diagnosis. Don't doubt. We aspies have a strong inner compass, you can trust it. second: you'll need another 3 months to review your life and see the different truth about it and grieve it and scoff in disbelief and roll your eyes and also grieve again about al...

I wish this forum had some buttons so I could show you I care or that I wish you strength. I'm here to mooch off of the answers you're getting because I need these tips too. Recently I've started with an ASS coach for high educated people (which doesn't mean we're life smart, as you well know) and s...

the world is how it's always been: not good. When you look at the level above your neighbours it's always been sh***y. So city, region, country, geopolitics: mostly bad. But we shouldn't feel bad about it. It's just the way it's always been. Serfs, inquisitions, raids by another kingdom/people, fami...

^It sounds like you are someone who needs to engage with what is going on and understand it, rather than duck away from it altogether. I think I feel that way too, that I don't want to just not know what is happening. But I get upset about it easily so I have to tread carefully. yes. I need to unde...

if so here's a possible connection:

Progesteron is the building block for cortisol, the anti-stress hormone. PMS/PMDD needs adequate levels of Progesteron as a remedy. Stress siphones away Prog. ASS people notice lots of stressors, both outside and inside their body.

yes, me. the cause was a natural depletion of Progesteron (and therefor Estrogen dominance). It all went away once I supplemented my Progesteron and this was done ONLY with body-identical hormone which in Europe has the tradename Utrogestan. No other pill or whatever suffices. GP prescribes. Progest...

Eh man…. my only friends are auti's. I found them through an online forum over a shared craft/skill. I don't think I ever saw a like minded person at school or at work…. I have 3 friends now and the person I married. It's that we are such a small portion of society. If we are 5% it is much. I'm not ...

I sometimes seem to think is everything really this bad as the news and media makes it out to be ? to answer this q first: somehow we're taking the info via news/media as more significant info about how life is going than the mundane info we get on the streets: How Jan's toddler is doing. The share...
