It is good that you at least had a relationship. It is easier to give up on them once you have had them, because you can see the negative sides to them, and how being single has it advantages. If you have never had one, you tend to idealize them and it is hard to walk away from something you have al...

For a non-biological answer, there are probably 5 times as many guys on dating apps are their are women, so women have a much larger pool to choose from, so they can be more picky. I assume that the ratio is guy heavy because men are expected to make the first move, ask the girl out, etc. Rejection ...

Wanting to not be autistic. Regretting too many things I missed out on in the past that I cannot go back and change.

But women don’t have to be 1-5% in looks to succeed on dating apps so why do men? Biology I believe. Biology? Thar still doesn't explain why Evolutionary psychology (which would be linked to biology) would say that men are much less choosy then women. From a biological standpoint men have little in...

Where did you find this fact? Most research I have seen doesn't support this.

Depending on where you live, there might be a "Soup kitchen" giving out Thanksgiving dinner to the destitute and you could probably volunteer to help with them. At least you wouldn't be alone and they would probably give you a free dinner as well.

It received really bad reviews. Most remakes are not as good as the original. I remember watching The Hitcher a lot in my college days. It went pretty well with some substances.

When I was 18 in college one of my friends tried to hook me up with this girl even saying “Me and her would make a cute couple”. I rejected/ignored her because she was not my type. Since then i have never really had an opportunity like that come up ever since. Do you think this is a tough lesson le...

Yes, the DSM is based on opinion by a commitee apparently dominated by neurotypical men. Psychiatrists have a lot to gain from AS people, financially, and the totally negative framing by them of AS people is oppressive. Creating a totally negative stereotype is othering and dehumanising. I think pa...

Sounds like a pitiful post. You have to learn to be comfortable in your skin first. When you love yourself you will attract people who are like you. Desperate energy repels. Confident energy attracts. All the answers lie inside you. Not always. Some people are just unattractive, or are meant to be ...

I have had that happen. It was nice for a while. At first I wondered what is wrong with this person that they are attracted to me when no one else is. It was nice to know that someone found value in you. I hope this happens to you as well.

This topic came up on another thread, but maybe it deserves its own. This is about sex being part of narratives, actual depictions of sex acts, nudity with sexual intent (as opposed to purely artistic) and so forth. Why does it happen? To constantly remind apsies that everyone else can get somethin...

NPD is definitely an overused term today. NPD is a fairly rare disorder, but listening to today's media, you would think almost everyone has it.
