Biden and Obama are liberal elitists, and as such they don't like regular Americans like Joe. To be more accurate, it's not so much that they don't like him... it's more a belief that he's just not as high-level a human being as they are, because he's a hard-working man: he gets dirty, he works 12-... |

Has anyone noticed how Joe Biden, the Obama campaign and the media in general has suddenly attacked the poor blue-collar plumber named Joe, made famous during the presidential debates? Based on the transcript provided, I don't see Biden's comments as attacks. He and Jay Leno were just having a "cut... |

Has anyone noticed how Joe Biden, the Obama campaign and the media in general has suddenly attacked the poor blue-collar plumber named Joe, made famous during the presidential debates? I've been a registered Democrat since I was 18 years old, and that's about 23 years altogether, and I have never se... |

Autoimmune arthritis disease and Fibromyalgia which are unbelievably painful and sap me of all my energy so I don't feel like I'm being a sufficiently good mother to my children. I am not close with my mother. My mother is...well...crazy. She's the kind of person that sucks the energy and life out ... |

One thing I've learned in dealing with people:
Age does not necessarily equal wisdom
and
Having money doesn't mean one has brains.

It fades after a month or two and then I can focus on other things, but right now I'm caught in the grip of this obsession again. I have "special interests" like that, too. Every few months, I'll get re-obsessed with them for awhile and it's all I focus on, but it dies down after a week or so. But ... |

My current "special interest" is the most intense one I've ever had, and it is pretty much all that I think about and want to talk about. My other three big "special interests" are intense, too, but not nearly as much as my current one. Yes, having obsessive interests is the hallmark symptom of AS,... |

Does not smelling your own room, or smelling the stinky family dog have to do with Aspergers? How is it possible that other people can smell it and you don't? It has nothing to do with Aspergers, although sometimes people with AS may care little about personal hygeine so they forget to bathe. What ... |

I ask, for I'm constantly bombarded by professionals telling me that contrary to my own wishes (ha), I actually want to interact with people like everyone else, because people with this "Asperger's" thingy really do desire to be with others. Uh, no, I don't; I hate being around people, and I hate t... |

I imagine that a primary stumbling block would be the cost of psychological counseling and referrals one would need to finally reach a diagnosis. I have family members (a cousin and an aunt) who would like to get checked out for AS (or other possible issues) but their insurance doesn't cover this ki... |

I'm wondering when others would be able to justify outright deceit. One of the things that has run through my mind why contemplating how I got myself fired is under what conditions I could lie. I certainly seem unable to even twist the truth when it comes to my defending myself. I did conclude that... |

Hi All... I'd like to know from other folks on this board, do you tell other people that you have AS or an ASD? Friends? Family? Coworkers? If you do, under what circumstances? Like how well do you have to know the other person before you'll share that with them? What sort of reaction do you get? D... |

Did you ever happen to experience an emotion that used to be completely foreign to you before, while dreaming? For example I remember that once I dreamed about something scary and when the reason of my fear disappeared I felt such huge relief I started to cry (in this dream only but it seemed so re... |
