Not the dance style. I mean the clicking sound people make with their tongues to express irritation or disapproval. Might be called something different outside of the UK.

Do you notice that people do it all the ****ing time when you're out and about? And not just when you bump into them or block their path (avoiding that is practically all I can think about and I manage to), but for the pettiest of reasons that aren't immediately discernable. It's probably an odd thi...

Oh God, yes! That's exactly the problem I have interacting with kids - the pressure to 'play along' with them. Tellingly, I enjoyed playing with younger kids when I was a kid myself, although this entailed affecting the responses they desired or expected and talking to them in high pitched tones tha...

Someone denied my friend request a while ago. The bit I don't understand is why people do this despite being in regular contact with you - this means you could easily confront them or start giving them the cold shoulder, either way making things pretty awkward for them. All of this can be avoided if...

I couldn't have put it better myself: I've met people like that as well before, and I think it's because 'different' people like me can put people out of their comfort zone, no matter how nice everyone says they are. They don't know how to react, so they react badly. Of course, there is the possibil...

from my experience of having friends around/hanging out at friends' places, entertainment comes in the form of catching up with what each other has been up to recently, dvds, computer/board games and youtube. so it sounds like you've got the entertainment covered. maybe you could rent dvds, games et...

you do seem to be far too invested in this friendship. if a friend appears to be spending less time with you and more time with a new friend then firstly, there isn't much you can do to reverse the process, and secondly, you seem oddly blameful of yourself for his getting bored with you as you see i...

Assuming that you're as close to this girl as the friends she hugs, I'd say go for it. But honestly, I've known some people at college who start hugging you if you've talked on a couple of occasions, heh. I quite like/liked the people I'm thinking of and therefore had no objection to their hugging o...

has it ever occurred to you hours after a conversation that you could have said something you don't distinctly remember saying? i just think maybe i did because i usually refer to this person by a disparaging nickname when talking to people who don't know them and i was in a state of surprise which ...

Don't think I twitch but sometimes adrenaline, anger or extreme anxiety make my hands shake slightly. I tend not to notice it until other people do though.

If you have any doubts that this friend is bad news, I'd suggest getting a second opinion. Then when I'm decided I either just stop contacting them or if that doesn't work, just tell them I'm done with them. Dunno whether you're seeking advice on what to do about it but that's my advice if you are.

i'm not sure i know what you mean without any examples of 'friends' doing those things but i do get the impression some people who turned out to be total users think i'm piss-easy to manipulate. I don't want to descend into a monologue about my own experiences, but the guy I lost my virginity to ask...

That was sh***y on your classmate's part. At least now she has to deal with the strain of knowing you probably saw her friend's post about that film. Does she strike you as uptight or conceited? I ask because if this is the action of a seemingly nice and normal person then what little faith in human...

I have one friend in particular who points out and sometimes ridicules my odd mannerisms, for example saying 'Stop smirking to yourself! It's creepy!' when I have random funny thoughts which make me grin inanely even when i manage to refrain from bursting out laughing. I personally don't like it eit...
