Sources? links? I find it interesting how often folks on the spectrum like to talk about what NTs think and/or feel. As if we're experts. Where are you looking for dates? I think group activities (volunteer work, mixed gender sports leagues, etc) are good places to make female friends. If you happe... |

no, but i'll tell you what. I've had a woman pretend to like me so i'd help her pass exams, then get back together with her ex while we're seeing each other and then approach me several months after I stop seeing her pretending to like me again. Then in the same breath, asking me to come over and he... |

I keep saying this, but i'll say it again. Don't let dating consume you. If you find dating to be overtaxing and stressful, why do it? What do you really want from dating that you're not getting. When you honestly answer this question, you'll see that you're being driven by primitive urges which are... |

There is no simple way to change from being an outcast to a man/woman-magnet. The world of dating is dominated and driven by shallowness and petty indulgence. Finding an equal minded individual who wants nothing more than to be around you is difficult, and takes patience. They may come along tomorro... |

Well, I would say that it would be misinforming to not tell But why? When she finds out, you wont be a different person. If she's already attracted to the way you act, why explain the way you act? Holding back the truth can be seen as being dishonest. That's fair, but what truth are you holding bac... |

I gather this is really common. You have to understand, your family members grew up with you. They know everything there is to know about you, how you developed, they watched you become the person you are today. If you tell them you're not normal, they'll reject the concept. As far as they are conce... |

Quite the opposite. My sleep is rarely restrained at all. I frequently dream of tripping over and my leg jerks in response to try and stop myself from falling, which actually happens as I lay in bed. As you can imaging, your self righting reflex is somewhat uncomfortable when laying down, and I wake... |

I know sometimes it might feel like you aren't capable of much, but that's only natural. When you start feeling like you're achieving everying you can with your mind, you've officially stopped improving yourself. By its very nature, if you're aiming to achieve more than you feel you're capable of, y... |

I used to hate certain people. I'm not motivated to revenge, I just felt intense loathing every time I saw them enjoying themselves and living blissfully at other's expense. Then that progressed, eventually I felt that feeling of loathing with every person I met. I started to feel like the humans th... |

If the human mind has a capacity limit, it is impossible to reach it during an average human life span. Engaging your mind with something irrelevant to normal life wont compromise your ability to focus on other things in the slightest. As long as you want your brain to expand, and continue to challe... |

I had my psych consultation this week. The psychologist I spoke to was very understanding and he said he isn't an expert on Autism, but he said he's putting it in my file that he "thinks" I have Aspergers. I guess that is the first step, I have something tangible to pursue now. And it will be suffic... |

I don't consider myself a rival to Autistics in any way. Aspergers is different to Autism in many ways, but when I encounter full Autistics I have a profound sense of respect. I took a small hit of a condition and it has radically altered the way I see the world. It has given me abilities most norma... |

In my honest opinion? Don't tell her. Ever. Being successful at dating is all about honesty. That is, honesty about your good points. As a rule of thumb, never brag, and never point out your own flaws. Women like to tell you what's good and bad about you, rather than be told. |
