It’s a constant stream of internal dialogue in my head that needs to let out of my system, and I usually do it by talking to myself - even though I don’t see anything and I’m aware I’m the only one in the room. The problem is that it’s caused me a lot of grief in my life. I have a deep-seated fear t...

Toast with some butter. Fairly simple.

I’m in the exact same boat as you. I know what to expect when I’m around familiar people so I know what boundaries are there. But when I’m around unfamiliar people, it’s hard for me to toe the line between what social acts are safe and what aren’t, and how to get my social needs satisfied in the sam...

Yes, it’s entirely possible. Special interests can bring on positive emotions that can be incredibly overwhelming and overpowering at times. It’s like your brain goes into full haywire seeing something related to it and you’re full of euphoria and you can’t even think straight or do anything as a re...

Eh, I think this is a stereotype enforced by NTs through infantilization. Most autistic adults are not any more “childish” than their NT counterparts, they’re just treated that way. Seconding this statement. @funeralxempire also stated it succintly here: I think there's two intertwined issues here....

Oh hey, a writing thread! Neat. I’m planning a few novels at the moment. One’s pretty much ready to be written but the other two are still up in the air. I’ve wanted to be published since 2015, but didn’t start taking action towards it until 2020. I still need to brush on and practice writing more ...

I can’t get along with most people. I can’t stand most people, in fact. And it’s fair to assume they would hate me just as much. I know I shouldn’t be so judgmental, but a part of me only wants to deal with people for work and work only - and take care of everything else online. I live in a small to...

Sometimes. I either love them or find them to be utterly annoying and get a sense of betrayal after being around them.

I deadass just made this account today to day this- I personally love these compilations... I have raging ADHD to the point of it turning into autism, and for the longest time I had no idea wtf was wrong with me, it was that bad. And I never realized that a lot of the random s**t that comes from my...

After seeing a post online that made me realize I'm more of a social f**k-up than I initially realized, I'm more screwed than I thought. I understand the general sentiment of not oversharing, but I tend to misread the room when it comes to what information is appropriate to share online once you get...

I'd like to know if the people who make these videos have ever stopped to think about e.g. (a) why right-wing people like to say things like 'oh, these people are just pretending to be disabled so they can get attention and/or special treatment' (b) why physically disabled people choose not to make...
