I did raw veganism for a long time, but it's far less sustainable when you have a family than when you're single... Unless you find a partner who is also a raw vegan. On completely the other side of things, I have done "no carb," which was basically meat, eggs, and butter for nearly a year...

Yes. It seems like everyone else gained a bunch of weight from staying home, but I actually lost about 50 pounds because there was nothing to do besides take care of myself and my daughter. I wanted to make sure I got enough sun and exercise every day because I had just been diagnosed with depressio...

Kindergarten. I'm sure there was evidence of it before that, but I don't think it really clicked until a year or two later. There was nothing I could do to fit in or be liked. I was bullied mercilessly all throughout school right up until I started writing for the school paper and people started see...

This goes well beyond why he hates the term superpower and delves into many relevant topics. One of the better articles I have read.

The joke word 'tism' makes me uncomfortable. I can't have it both ways.

Me too. Especially the phrase "a touch of the 'tism." Like "a touch of the flu." I'm not sick, I cannot be "cured," I will not "get better."

I have absolutely joked that my ability to perform nearly all my office tasks at once is a super power, but it sure doesn't feel like it at 3/4 of the way through the day when I'm too burnt out to function beyond the bare minimum left to finish out the day. And then my boss wants to know if I'm busy...

I love to feel food in my mouth, and I think this may be part of why I seem to over eat. I have two questions: Does anyone else have this problem, or do you think my suspicions are incorrect here? If this IS a problem you've noticed in yourself and solved, what did you do to correct the behavior? Cu...

I am not sure, but if it helps... When someone is spelling something out, or I'm listening to a song (like ABCDEFU) that spells letters, out, I like to spell along with it in ASL. Kind of like a little dance for my hands. :) I don't "speak" ASL fluently, I just know the alphabet and a few ...

Just say something random about your mental health if you feel the need to but you don't wanna make a thread about it. I feel like I'm going to burst if I don't get to talk about my diagnosises. ASD, PTSD, PMDD... And I had GAD and MDD, but I am not clear on if the GAD is actually PTSD, or if I hav...
