Imo, it's less about being likeable and more about having empathy for people. Listening to them, learning about them, etc.

I've heard a lot about libido taking a dip in mid ages (i.e. 30's-40's). People are raising kids, and hustling to advance in their career. But then it comes back at older ages once kids are grown up and career is moreorless dialed in.
