Funny you should ask... I had a major 'melt down' today over something that would seem rather innocuous to most people. I am getting married on the 29th, and I suppose my mother decided to tell me the news until the last minute. She announced that against my wishes, she had hired a band to play at t...

Ignorance. Completely impossible, but I can dream. (In a hypothetical manner at least.)

I was so scared when my best friend told me she had HPV. There are many strains of the virus. Some of them show no outwardly visible symptoms except for an abnormal papsmear. Hers are tiny and microscopic on her cervix, and she had no other signs, such as the assumed huge cauliflower warts. The scar...

That the random things that stressed me out a year ago are gone. The random things that stress me out now will someday be gone. Or at least that's what my father repeats to me at least ten times a day. I HATE HATE HATE not knowing the outcome. (Yet I can't think very far ahead, either, so I contrain...

Funny you posted on this. I can remember being in primary school, and being around other children for the first time. They all looked like plastic, or not real to me, I can't really describe it. But I wanted to reach out and touch them to see if they felt like dough, or if they would crumble to piec...

I assume that often an aspie doesn't identify their differences as having Aperger's. We know we are different, we are just unsure as to how or why. I seem to attract a certain personality type, so I was lucky to find him (my aspie fiancee.) And luck had to be the only way! A funny thing about Aspie ...

My dog Roo loves to rip the green 'fur' off of tennis balls, and can do so in record time. I once tortured her by giving her a racket ball instead!

I have a very strong, refined sense of taste, I can basically break something down into the individual components. I remember lyrics to songs after hearing them once, and can do so for years. (Good for me, annoying to anyone in my car I am comfortable enough to sing around!) I can read very fast, an...

Thank you, and nice to meet you all. gbollard, I really could not have done it any other way. We still wonder about how we managed to get together. He would come into the store I worked in nearly 3 days a week for 3 years, and we never spoke once! But after the first date, we knew it would be foreve...

I know that there will always be people that don't accept my particular way of being, and to be crass, I know they will eventually go away. They always do. ...
