I have to re-iterate the whole online dating thing others have brought up. It takes a lot of effort (but then again everything does when it comes to this), but I think for most of us it's easier. I'd say for every 5 messages I send to girls online, only 1 ever responds. And out of those, even less r... |

American Idol (and actually all popular "reality" shows)
Any cop show that's title is a bunch of initials and sometimes followed by the name of the city it takes place in (CSI, NCIS, etc)
Every doctor show
Every lawyer show
Those are all just so over done. |

I just watched this last night and I can't really decide what to think exactly. At times, I felt like I was watching myself, but at other times I was shocked by how over the top Adam got. Although to be fair, I don't think I've ever met any other aspies in real life myself. SPOILERS BELOW.... . . . ... |

I decided to bump up this old topic to see what everyone thinks of my current situation. I just got called for grand jury duty. Meaning I have to go 3-5 days a week for at least an entire month (it could be more if I end up on a long case). I really wouldn't have minded regular jury duty, but this s... |

I don't think I really tell anyone about the Aspergers and it's mainly because I haven't been officially diagnosed. I'm sure I would if I actually went about doing that though. I did tell my ex-girlfriend about it on like our 2nd or 3rd date. The only reason I did was because she was a substitute te... |

The same exact thing happened to me all the time. It still does at times, but I've gotten better at remembering to speak louder lately. To me I feel like I'm almost yelling, but apparently it's just right. |

I guess the answer to that for me would be "yes". In real life I'm able to talk to girls about as much as I talk to guys (which is not much at all), but I've never had a clue about how to go about asking anyone out like that. Online, I actually met my ex. Once we met for real, I found it much, much ... |

I seemed to always have 1 guy in my class or in multiple classes each year from grade school all the way until 11th grade (when I couldn't deal with school anymore and left to get my GED) that gave me trouble. I remember sometime in the 10th grade I finally realized that I wasn't exactly a small kid... |

Which is what I figured. I've been trying the two hand in hand for awhile. If I'm having this much trouble with the first step, I think it's safe to say I'm totally lost. |

This is something I've been clueless about forever. It seems every NT has hundreds upon hundreds of contacts in their cell phones. Sure, they probably don't talk to all of these people, but at some point they did and got their number. I have about 15 contacts in my phone. 75% of whom are family memb... |

Some of these sound like good ways (going to the movies, out to eat, etc.), but the difficulties I would have is actually finding out how to ask someone to do these things. Would they actually want to be my friend? I would feel like an ass if they brushed me off. And then if this acquaintance is a g... |

I would say that I don't have any real friends. The closest person I have to a friend is an ex of mine. We've both agreed that we wouldn't work out as a couple and are better off as just friends (it's a much longer story than that, but that's where we're at now). I get and receive texts from her eve... |

I am totally lost when it comes to small talk or social situations like that. And I've been working in a very public place for over 3 years now. The farthest I can ever get in a conversation is "hi, how are you?". After that I'm pretty much done. I just can't ever seem to bring myself to saying anyt... |

I just have to thank anyone here that recommended okcupid. A few months ago I gave it a shot and after several weeks of thinking it was going nowhere, I actually got to talking with this nice girl and even got the nerve to meet her. We've been dating for like 2 months now and it's uncanny how easy i... |

I'll have to try some of these things (the ones I can anyway). I've been feeling worse than I've felt in a long time lately. Music helped for a little while, but I eventually realized I was just using it as a smoke screen for what's really going on. I guess thinking like that would be a problem with... |

I also love this show. The concept alone allows for anything to be done; which is brilliant. I've only seen the newer series though that was revived a few years ago (9th and 10th Doctors). Now that there's a big drought until more episodes start, I'm going to try and track down some of the older epi... |
