I've strongly hated only two people in my life and they're both dead now. Each time I was glad and didn't hide it. I don't understand some posts about celebrating that fact, I've hated those people and their deaths help me forget about them. Celebrating that would only strengthen the memories. |

I'm terribly sorry to read that. Whatever you do, don't get used to it and just take it. I don't know how sensible your father is but I suspect he assumes a position of superiority towards you and your sister, hence getting other people, whom he respects, may be necessary. Don't be ashamed of it, he... |

Cues as a way of exchanging information, which could be used as a definition of language. Your therapist may have meant social cues as social language. Social language encompasses a wide spectrum of interactions, one of which would be non verbal language, therefore, reverting to cues, non verbal cue... |

I don't know the degree of your condition in relation to my own, but moving out on my own was one of the greatest things I have ever done. It has been very lonely at times. I still feel a crushing lonliness at times, but the independence and the learning process that comes with it is very uplifting... |

Where did you originate? Another English speaking country? Was it much of a change? How do you feel with meeting friends and lovers after the move? The option I seem to have is going to Japan. I'd have to teach English which I'm not certain how comfortable I am with as I'd be the focal point at the... |

That's quite odd, the poition I'm in right now is not quite selling all of my possessions but I share a house with my sister and am about to have a free rent period to save up and move out but the unknown terrifies me in this case. I could seriously move abroad - one of the 2 people I consider true... |

It's quite interesting to me actually, as I was 26 when I found myself stuck in a very similar situation, with a very much the same life story as yours. I had sold whatever I possessed, which amounted to 100£, packed some basic clothes into a bag and escaped into the unknown. It wasn't a dream comin... |

But I may be a smitch anti-social.
Often, it's a torture to wait till the soonest time possible if you mean things like parties or random pub gatherings. I don't so much mind buses, trains or shops. |

In the website you've linked, there is no reference to Attainment Company, which seems to be doing exactly the same sort of thing. http://www.attainmentcompany.com/product.php?productid=16657&cat=280&page=1 Attainment Company does an Imagine Symbol Directory, whilst at imaginesymbols.com it'... |

I also recommend keeping the Compact Edition of The Oxford English Dictionary around the house. Its great for browsing during long stays in the loo, except the weight of the volumes will cause your legs to fall asleep. Of course, once you've memorized it, crossword puzzles are no longer a challenge... |

I kept repeating the same thing over and over. Once me and my cousing got beneath the table and pretended it was an igloo. But the lines were really simple. My cousin asked "what are we going to do today?". Then I replied "We are going fishing so we will have something to eat later". Then we sleep ... |

I'm sure that even a totally nt person could, with some effort, get diagnosed with aspergers. Probably not, unless they were so obsessed by the condition that they studied it for years, learned the testing procedure and knew all the expected behaviors, reactions and multiple choice answers to the p... |

I can only take your word for it, that in Gdansk they sell books with corpses instead of pictures. |

It's just that I don't have much money. Plus the nearest autism dx people are still over an hours drive away and I don't even have the money to get gas to drive back and forth to it. Plus it's expensive. Perhaps, gently educating your psychiatrist remains the only option then. As a professional, he... |

It's hard to make my mind about it as I haven't read any studies about stem cells and autism. The whole thing has a slight feeling of a scam though and I'd be inclined to trust your judgment on that case but I'd be also interested in what others have to say about it. |
