what really ticks me off is that he told me that everyone got offered the same "jobs", no matter what handicap they have, but I still didn't see anyone at either place that wasn't a downie :x

I'd request for another person who can "help" you out and address your needs properly. Something to think about might be volunteering at a local animal shelter. apparently, there is no one else, at least that's what he told me. but my mother in law is helping me to get in contact with a cat shelter...
