I know what a double entendre is, but I don't find this hilarious. I mean I know what one is in language, not booze. Booze is alien to me.
Even if that's a drink, it's still not super funny. Blah. See what happens when the average person tries to joke about grammar? |

Thanks gbollard. Your website is definitely better than anything I found.
Leechbabe, I think you're right. I feel as if I need to comfort her, but that's the last thing she wants.
Thanks. |

Maybe. She can't keep track of a watch, though.
Thanks for the idea. I googled aspergers+meltdown and I got some websites that looked really terrible. |

I like your descriptions of what brings on a meltdown. Having gone through a small one yesterday due to intolerable noise, I can add a few tips. 1. I try to get away from source of the anxiety if possible. Sometimes I end up leaving my home and going to the library, a place I find very soothing. Th... |

I've come to the conclusion that Aspergers means that I have the word "SUCKER" tattooed across my forehead that everyone else can see but me. Does anyone else feel this way? And, any ideas for ways to prevent these sort of things? Sucker? Mine says, "F**k WITH ME". This is sort of along the lines o... |

My 12-y.-o. daughter, who I strongly suspect has AS, has these episodes. It happened today. We were trying to get ready to go somewhere that she wanted to go. Her sister and I were ready, but she kept changing her clothes, looking for something with a pocket. She had about 2 hours notice that we wer... |

"Don't ever get married or have children because marriage is slavery and children will ruin your life"...... (I was actually told this...repeatedly...) I actually am not married nor do I have children, but not because I was told not to...though maybe it sunk in subconsciously... My mom told ... |

I get what you're saying. They're mistaking me needing to be comfortable for me not caring about myself, but I get what you're saying. Thanks for the advice. That makes sense. |

It is rather unfortunate that people who are drawn to the lifestyle join because they feel like outcasts, then promptly turn into elitist little s**ts isn't it. The confidence part is the more important one. The thing is you do not have to actually have it to project it. It is very much a "fake it ... |

I live in a small town in the middle of nowhere with few options as far as counselors. I have been going to a guy for a while who has helped quite a bit with some depression and suicidal issues. He is, unfortunately, one of the many "Asperger skeptics" who essentially believes Autism is only a low-... |

toamitraj, this could be Todd's paresis. It is not uncommon for people to suffer from temporary paralysys after a seizure, especially a big one like that. My daughter and I have seizures. Are you familiar with the Epilepsy Foundation of America? There's a forum just for parents. http://en.wikipedia.... |

I am so hypersensitive and so is my daughter. Light bothers us so much that we have dark, thick curtains over our windows and we have to wear shades in places that have florescent lights. We are extremely sensitive to noise, too, and fabric. I never get comfortable in my bra. It is a constant irrita... |

I think I still should get that hysterectomy. You're too young. As someone mentioned, it instantly ages you. Recovery is long and painful. You only have a 50% chance of your ovaries functioning properly afterward, and hormone replacement therapy is a dangerous nightmare. Look into other options. An... |
