I am not repulsed or grossed out in any way. The issue is in difficulty breathing, the unpleasant sensation of hair in my mouth, and the tongue getting tired before anything substantial happens.

I have been randomly looking up crap on Wikipedia, as I am wont to do, and I came across the word spinster and read about the history of being as such and how socially acceptable it was. It was mentioned that it is considered offensive today. Yeah, well, it's one word that gets the point across fast... |

Here is my comprehensive job history. I have to pick and choose from this list when I am out applying for jobs. It appeared in the comments of a previous note, but I wanted to spotlight it. What it says about me is unclear, but I do think it means I have a better chance of making it as a business ow... |

Recent events have led me to ponder the concept of friendship to a greater extent than I normally do, and I normally contemplate it a lot. Ever since I made friends in the face of social hopelessness, I have been trying to understand it. Pondering it though I do, there is no escaping an underlying r... |

I'd like to add something here that may put a slightly different spin on things. Some of the judgment on women being made here is being taken to mean that all women, or at least enough to make no odds, are of the sort that have brought us here. That's not true. What is true, however, is a near compl... |

Perhaps, but also an exceedingly unlikely candidate as the definition most girls are referring to when they suggest you just be friends with them.

To solve this problem, you must also answer what friends means. There are many definitions. When you're a kid, you might have kids who live next door to you with whom your parents arrange you to play. At the time, you may refer to these kids as your friends. In retrospect, you may realize they were ... |

All sound seems to fade away, despite the fact I'm listening to a book on tape on my iPhone. Thoughts of the present leave me and ghosts and shadows of the past fill my being. A single emotion does not contain the feelings and it is not anything rational. There is a terrible focus that feels loose a... |

Well, I suppose you could argue that it all comes down to whether or not I can trust someone. One possibility, and this possibility means that a lot of what I normally say on the subject is full of crap, is that my trust has been so violated at this point that I cannot imagine trusting someone, even... |

Certainly your viewpoint is the viewpoint of the vast majority. People don't even think of it as having power over their partner, which is what causes a lot of problems. My pool certain shrinks as well, probably to zero, which is part of my pessimism. I know perfectly well what I require to enter a ... |

I was avoiding relationship specific examples, but I'll come up with answers for them if you like. 1. Does my butt look big in this? Relative to what? 2. Do you think that I'm fat? Relative to what? 3. Do you love me? There has been no change since last time you asked me. If I start to love you less... |

I don't get any false hope from these people saying these things to me, but only because it's damned impossible to convince me of something my own logic and reason, not to mention experience, says otherwise about.

Complete with actual answers I have given people before. 1. What the hell is wrong with you? There's some confusion over it psychologically. A number of things have been proposed ranging from A.D.D., O.C.D, non-verbal learning disorder, and Asperger's. Mostly I have little empathy, poor social skill... |

It's very different if you are a love-sick, yet bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, early arriver on the scene of romance than if you are the walking wounded like I am. Many of us on this board are sort of at the stage where we would like a date from someone, preferably breathing, and past that, it's all ... |

Performance is the end all be all for a man. This isn't how I want it to be or how our culture dictates. It is how any culture which cares about whether or not the woman has an orgasm views the subject. Producing can be nearly impossible for men, or all the way impossible in my sad case, and the opt... |

If you want to watch a man do a song and dance pay admission to see a show. Otherwise, don't go on a date unless you're interested in getting to know someone for the purposes of romantic pursuits better. That would be the real person. The person they are going to be when they get off work and don't ... |
