Well, not all songs are meant to portray the imagined singer as a good person; some of them are ironic or parodies. I haven't heard the vast majority of the ones listed, though, so I can't if they are or not. Beast of Burden does annoy me though.

I must also complain that anyone could think that fantasy cliches are 'stupid'. These 'cliches' have been around for hundreds of years, we are not going to give up on them now. A little cliche isn't always a bad thing. Show cliches a little respect! Well, "cliche" doesn't mean "bad idea". It means ...

Si non confectus, non reficiat. (If it ain't broke, don't fix it.) At some point I think I translated Humpty Dumpty into Latin, but all I can remember of it is: Omnes regis equi omnesque virorum Invenire non poterat omnes fragmentorum. All the king's horses and all the king's men Couldn't put ...

faiuwle, if you were homosexual, would you spend your time looking for groups of people that think you're a sinner going straight to hell? I'd rather do something else than look for groups that mock me, but if I happen to stumble upon them... Boy, they're in for some hell. What do you mean? I heard...

If anyone is still unconvinced that this sort of thing is perfectly legal, take a look at Focus on the Family , who are faith-based and claim that homosexuality is a "disease" that can be "cured". They are more upfront about being Christian, but it's still pretty disgustinbeg. As far as I know, they...

As a girl, I resent this implication that every girl is interested in fashion and musicals and they do not want to talk about sci-fi or video games or computers. The biggest musical fan I knew in high school was male, and most guys I've talked to are not so interested in the sci-fi/video game/comput...

Maybe it's because I'm American, but I think they at least have a right to put their opinion out there. The thing is, people will occasionally come up to me to, for example, tell me all about Jesus and that's OK with me because they are up-front about what they represent and where they're coming fro...

The CCHR is basically a branch of the Church of Scientology (or so I've heard) so I can't say I'm surprised. They think they're fighting some kind of holy war against psychiatrists. Even people who genuinely think that learning disorders are made up want nothing to do with them.

I'm not sure if I have AS or not, but this is something I've done since I was a small child, and no one could understand why, so I'm wondering about it. I doodled on everything, even furniture and sometimes the wallpaper (my parents made me refarnish my desk once or twice, I remember). It wasn't art...

Of course, I'm also really into computer science, but I still consider it High Art.
