I've been getting into symphonic metal bands lately thanks to my discovery of a new band, Delain, formed by the original keyboardist for Within Tempation. Lucidity is a great debut album that combines strong female lead vocals with good symphonic metal. I normally don't like the growly-style death m... |

I'm a big science fiction fan. Favorite authors include Robert Heinlein, Pohl Anderson, Ian M. Banks, Eric Frank Russell, H. Beam Piper and James White. I like a lot of the older stuff. In fantasy I like Robert E. Howard, Charles de Lint and Dennis L. McKiernan, among others. I really enjoyed "Good ... |

I, too, had a hard time finding a doctor who could diagnose AS in adults. I first tried to get a referal from my general practitioner, but she didn't know anyone who was experienced. I eventually located an email address for an AS support group that met in a nearby town and asked the organizer for a... |

I think the person who needs to decide whether to address the issue of a diagnosis is him. You can support him, you can give him options and information, which you have, but in the end, he's the (potential) Aspie and he is the one who has to decide whether to face the possibility or not on his terms... |

Well, I'm probably too late to help, but...
Anime is a pretty big subject. Can you be more specific about what it's about. Anime fandom on campus? The sociology of anime? The latest hot series? Japanese history as presented in anime?

But, but, a library insists that you give the books back. How could I let my little friends go? How could I organize them and categorize them and enjoy them sitting neatly in their assigned places on their shelves? Libraries are just too cruel. And the books smell funny. Actually I rarely buy new bo... |

And yes, I am obsessive. I think I'll go read a book. Grey Grey, you're my new hero - mwah! Thanks, most people look at me like I'm crazy when they find out I actually read books. I remember once a pretty young woman, who was otherwise intelligent, once said to me "You sure read a lot of books, don... |

The worst part is being stuck someplace (like an airport for five hours) with No Books!! ! (ABQ food & book stands close down around supper time, and LAS has zilch, nada, nothing but slot machines. Yick.) As best I remember, I've been reading compulsively since age 4 and discovered science fiction ... |

I'm about to start drooling all over my laptop... That is AWESOME. You've inspired me to move out with a set of bookcases as soon as I can, or take over a room in this house for that purpose. I know how you feel. I spent years living in tiny studio apartments. I had to keep most of my books in stor... |

Hey, wait -- you have a personal stock of manga, comics, and graphic novels in your house? Dude, you're my idol. Well, I only have 102 volumes of manga in graphic novel format, plus whatever is in with the American comics, 11 long boxes worth, I think, total. The non-manga graphic novels and comic ... |

I can't wait til I move out because I'm going to have a library in my house even if it's just a bedroom filled to the ceiling with books and a chair. :D Sounds like you want to do what I've done: I don't have a living room, I have a library. I do more reading than living anyway. There are 11 book c... |

This was harder than I thought it would be. I got six. I started with seal, then blanked. So I thought about what else lived in the sea. That gave me Sea Lion, Sea Gull and Sea Anemonie. Then I thought a bit about whether a Sea Anemonie counted. To get back on track I tried to think of fish and got ... |

I doubt that this will lead to a treatment that will affect those of us who already have autistic spectrum disorders, however, it could lead to early detection of autism in infants. With both early dectection, and some (still unknown) treatments to mitigate or eliminate the causes, we could see an e... |

Alayna: Azumanga Daioh is great, have you seen any of the Yotsuba manga by the same creator? I've enjoyed the first couple of volumes. The silly humor is similar.
