As somebody who has lived in squaller for about 3 years during my own childhood I feel I can comment. My Mum was never the most house-proud person. While married to my Dad it was always him who had to initiate big clean-up sessions. He still comments on her untidiness. I remember my Grandma mentioni... |

I sometimes get this - mainly when I have stayed up way past bedtime. But i don't get it that particular night but the night after. Sleep deprivation. I remember once (my 30s birthday) we went out "partying" :oops: and stayed up all night and well into the next day. First I had an apparition (saw a ... |

soti you bet me too it I used to be rubbish at games as well. Catching, throwing, kicking balls - you name it. I got better though in recent years. My boyfriend took a lot of time and patience teaching me how to kick a ball. Takes a lot of focus and technique I'm still really clumsy though, dropping... |

As far as I know dyspraxia is clumsiness. Its when you want or have to something but don't know how to do it or where to start and have trouble coordinating your movements. I may be wrong though...

Hello Silke. Welcome to Wrong Planet. I enjoyed reading your introduction. It was very well written and informative. I especially like the way you describe or refer to your realization that you have Asperger's Syndrome as "connecting the dots." What better way to reveal the picture of who you are. ... |

Very good question! I wondered if it was just me - I didn't know this was a common thing? I look a lot younger than my real age, I'm 31 and still have to show ID if I want to buy alcohol. My partner is almost 40 and looks more like 30. He's also AS. I mean I'm not complaining, its great and I do hop... |

Has anybody else been born with a physical developmental delay as well as AS? I was born with hip dysplasia. Basically my left hip wasn't fully formed when I was born and I had to lie in a sort of lead nappy for 6 month. Sometimes I wonder whether that may have contributed to a mental delay as I was... |

Anybody else find it "painful" to listen to disharmonies in music? It makes me cringe every time. One reason why I can't listen to freestyle jazz even though I admire the creativity of it.
Its like
Harmony = calm
Disharmony = anxiety |

Im not very good at maths, but music works. I hear intervals, harmonies, and thats IS a kind of mathematics.. just not with numbers. Same here. I can harmonize pretty much to anything. I can see patterns well and logic. I am creative in arts and writing. I can play tunes on the piano by ear. But ma... |

I can relate too. My dad had always pushed me to "make something out of myself" and my gran was always worried about me in regards to work, saying I can't keep a job down etc. This is part of the reason why I had to get away from my family: to be able to be myself. When I was younger I made a habit ... |

I have made a few friends online, including my boyfriend - we have been together for 8 years so far so I guess its more than just my body he likes ;-) Mostly I made them when I wasn't particularly looking for friends though just like in the "real world". Also, I don't tend to show anybody a picture ... |

Hi there, welcome to WP :-) I think a good first step would be to take the aspie quiz. You can find it here: http://rdos.net/eng/ Its not scientific as such but it should give you a good idea whether you want to pursue this further. I don't know where you live but here in the UK for example its not ... |

Now it's just a little tongue-dart ;D But I've finally notice it...at first I would look at photos of myself and go "Why does it look like my tongue is sticking out?" I like this explanation and its along the lines of what I believe as well. I do think in pictures and so does my partner who is very very creative in his way of thinking - often 4 steps ahead and also quite psychic (I know a lot of people don't believe in the 6th sense but I have encountered to many... |
