| I just looked at the article (I'd read it before, but I didn't remember this part with too much detail). They said that the people who are d***s are just the ones who are claiming that they have AS. |

| Well, I was asked not to sub at a particular school any longer because the other teachers said I had "no personality" and didn't talk enough to them. This is a short clip from Invictus (great film). I'd also recommend watching Gandhi. It's really long, but I think a lot of people on this forum would benefit from seeing how Gandhi led the liberation of the Indian People.

| If the statement is aimed at individuals on the spectrum, I'd recommend simply changing "finding a cure for autism" to "ending the suffering of individuals on the autism spectrum" or something like that. | When I used that analogy, I wasn't trying to imply that being black makes people unable to do things, it absolutely doesn't. I'm sorry if it came across that way. I was referring to how Autism Speaks doesn't really seem to care what we on the autism spectrum think, they just want to "cure" us. |
