I used to be more outgoing. I still am, to a degree. But years of analyzing how sh***y I do socially, has made me more reclusive. thats the only thing I hate about aspergers. |

I was diagnosed with ADHD when I was a kid. Back then, they didnt know alot about it and gave me freaking thorazine for it. I'd pass out in class, it was awesome first grade! Then they gave me Dexedrine, which is basically speed. I took it in various doses till I was 16 and got sick of it, and haven... |

Seeing the world and situations rationally has huge advantages, and some drawbacks. Seeing the world emotionally, and not rationally has some advantages, and HUGE drawbacks. Id rather be an aspie. Everyone has their problems, the trick is to focus on the good, and almost ignore the bad side. Theres ... |

then what is considered abnormal and wrong with the autistics? Like us........ For aspies, I think the lack of empathy is pretty big. Most people feel their way through situations, I dont think most aspies do. I think we analyze our way through them. Its exhausting. Its why aspies need to "detox" a... |

I leave my voicemail full. That way noone is under the illusion that im going to call them back. Yeah, its a crappy thing to do, but I've never really been very good at calling people back over a sustained period of time. I tell people to leave me a text or an email, and I usually will answer them b... |

He didnt believe it at first, till I took the test and we started talking. I think the fact that we're both aspie is the reason we've gotten along so well. |

I was just getting ready to hit the sack, and came back and googled aspie forums, and found you guys. Thought I'd introduce myself. I'm married, 41 years old, a father of 3 daughters and a self diagnosed aspie. A longtime friend recently was diagnosed with aspergers, and told me of his struggles and... |
