Someone asked me once: "Are you more of a Mac, or PC person?" I responded with "I'm more of a dual partition kind of guy." His reply: "Is... Is that some sort of Linux?" He was half-right. I'm currently using Win 7, and Ubuntu. Hahaha, me too. I want to try Linux Mint 10. Mint is quite nice. ...

Fedora 14 at the moment. Tried Arch Linux for a while but it didn't seem happy on my hardware. I was using Fedora 13 like that and I was very happy with it, even moreso with 14.

For me, it's pretty straightforward. On my distro you can use a desktop that looks like either Windows or Mac, and most everything is already configured. I didn't have to configure the wireless internet access; it was already there when I started it. I also had no problem downloading Firefox onto m...

I use Windows 7 and Linux Mint. Most of the software I need for work and university is Windows only, some of it does work with WINE, but I just find it's easier to use it under Windows. I keep Linux around because I like learning about it and getting my hands dirty (I use Mint specifically at the mo...

hmmm, I just see windows 7 as vista with bits taken out and bits added and bits moved Same here, it feels pretty much the same. I don't think it's any faster. By the benchmarks, 7 is actually slower than Vista. Link or it didn't happen. :) From Gizmodo. The two are close on benchmarks, but 7 has so...

I can't seem to get Windows98 running in my VirtualBox, it installs, but I have trouble when trying to install the drivers from the image for it. Nothing happens. I use Vista, but some programs don't like XP or Vista to run on. I might try installing on one of my Linux Dstro's at some point. But I ...

Let's see.... Adblock Plus (well that's a given) Foxmarks Firebug IsAdmin (I use DropMyRights to kill Firefox's Admin user rights) iMacros (sometimes fun to play with) Skype Add-on that Skype installs by default (I've disabled it, it's annoying). I had NoScript for a while but I found it quite obnox...

Still, I don't understand why people b***h and moan about how bad of a browser IE is (and on this board, usually by Linux fanboys who think MS is the spawn of satan himself) without getting their facts straight on Firefox and Safari. It *really* annoys me. No OS and no browser is perfectly secure. ...

Laptop: Windows Vista Ultimate SP1 64 bit - 4 days, 17 hours, 10 mins, 2 seconds (with some sleeping from when I take it to class) Desktop: Currently Off (it's 80 kilometres away currently) Server...

Have a cry, people. Firefox, Opera and Safari got hacked at the same contest as well. Geez. *grumbles at bigotry* (Also, I'm a Firefox user. Thought I'd point that out before ya'll get up on a soapbox calling me a fanboy). I don't remember the article mentioning any Opera vulnerabilities. It said t...
