The Autumn Shade (get it? AS?) series by The Vines is good: the lead singer/guitarist has AS. Also, "Outtatheway" by the same band expresses the feeling of being different pretty well, I thought. Look up the lyrics.

Ha, go figure. Someone thought the same thing about me the other day. Its understandable: if your strange to others, you must be either mentally wired wrong ("weird") or on drugs. If your sociable, people s'pose its drugs.

My mom's life-long school friend is a sort of new age healer, and ever since I was little she called me an "Indigo Child." I never learned what that meant until a couple years ago. I typically don't believe in those sorts of things, but it very well could be another way for explaining AS or somethin...

I definitely use clothing and colors to determine people...if my girlfriend's wearing and orange shirt, I look for orange. However, that leads to problems (ie: once almost hugging someone random woman in an orange sweater at Old Navy!!)

I don't think I've ever been fully "traumatized." but typically I just go with the "repress-and-release-via-art" formula. I'm not a fan of telling people about my problems often, so typically I just kind of drop off the face of the earth for a while. And yeah, I do the kind of strange joking that ma...

YEAH! I know what your talking about exactly. Many people get offended by opinions of the most trivial matters...I don't like melted cheese, but if I ever say that out loud people flip out.
