I'll echo what BobTheMartian and Callista said. But there are also different scales - most have a mean of 100, but the SD can vary, so direct comparisons of different scales have to be translated to a common scale (preferentially into SD form, from a mathematical perspective). Not really additive, t...

No connections whatsoever. I saw it while browsing sciencedaily, and thought I'd post it here in case anyone in her area was interested. I'm not even on the same continent. I am in the sciences though (molecular biology, not psychology), so I value research data.

23, so not too long ago. Unfortunately, that was a rather short-lived relationship (I wasn't emotional enough, apparently..), so back to ground zero.

actually, I apparently put it in the 'this' in the first post. Apparently I'm not the only who doesn't see links underlined on this forum.

Just read about this, a study being conducted on ASD and facial expressions. Apparently they're looking for adult (18+ yo) volunteers, so I thought I'd post it here.

Which version? The current, I believe, is the MMPI-II (which I've taken). I don't have my T-Scores, but my Welsh Code was 0'8+2 5-7 4/ 61 3:9#K- LF / with a 'Fake Bad' T-Score of 56. There's more to it, but the Welsh Code order the clinical scales (numbers) and validity scales (letters) in order fro...

Got my permit around 16, but still haven't gotten a license at 23. I'd rather not, but I live in Florida and conditions are not as amenable to not driving as, say, NYC, so I'm being forced into it by conditions. Mostly, I just don't want to pay the money for it. And if I DO get a vehicle, I'd much r...

Well, nothing as bad as all that. Worst I had was going to someone I strongly suspect followed the psychoanalytical path. For those not familiar, that's basically like trying to get help from a slightly smarter and more competent version of ELIZA . That didn't last long. Sorenna: "WHy ARE we treated...

This question was posed to me recently, and I'm curious as to how others would answer it. More specifically, if there was no doubt one of you was going to die, and your mother (or father - some parental figure you love) was in the position of first risk (eg, they're the ones in front of the bus) - w...

I ask because, in general, I have a fairly easy time lying, but I don't feel like (for me) it's really anything to do with empathy. It's just simple black box/knowledge tracking. If the person does not have knowledge or is not likely to (they had no opportunity to acquire it), then if you want to gi...

I registered a little while ago, but haven't really done much. I was diagnosed (after three psychiatrists/psychologists brought it up without prompting) with Asperger's (mild) a few days ago, along with ADD-PI, via neuropsychological assessement. Basic Stats: I'm 22, male, Southern East Coast Americ...
