It's not just Sharron Angle who feels this way. She is a Tea Party candidate and her views pretty much reflect that group as a whole. If you disagree with her viewpoint, I suggest you talk to your friends and relatives about whom they intend to vote for in November. ...And for goodness sake, if you'... |

Ari Ne'eman may be young but he can help bring a little balance to the debate over how to best help autistic people. Advocates of neurodiversity and acceptance do not have the money and power that Cure Autism Now does, therefore it is difficult for the general public to hear the side of those who ad... |

I like the infinity knot. Aspies for freedom use it though and I'm not so keen on them. I still like the idea of it being the universal symbol for AS, though. I agree, that in itself is not a bad idea.. I,myself can't think of a particular symbol which could be adopted and used to illustrate those ... |

National Public Radio (U.S.) has released information from a General Accountability Office (GAO) report indicating many schools in the U.S. are using harsh, even deadly, methods to discipline special needs kids. Here is a portion of what is in the article: “. . . The Government Accountability Office... |

Thanks for sharing that article, that's a very interesting theory. I think there is a great deal about it that may be true. |

If you’re worried, please read this: 1- The media is good at presenting things in a negative light. If you tend to be anxious, limit your intake of news. Get your information from reputable sources, where the hype is low. In the U.S., National Public Radio is a good source; it’s timely and intellige... |

One of the odd things to note about this flu outbreak is the fact that it seems to have hit people in mid-life hardest of all. It's been reported that most of the deaths in Mexico have involved people who generally have the most robust immune systems - people between 20 and 40. The same thing happen... |

I'm not a fan of meds in kids. One of the main reasons is if your kid relies on meds during the formative years to just get through day to day, they never learn to live off the meds. It's different for adults, but with kids, it's all they'll ever know. Saying he'll just magically mature on his own,... |

The homework marathons, we know about those too. My son has had many nights where homework went into 5 or more hours. He often starts on his way home from school, say about 3:30, then comes home and distracts himself with bathroom breaks, snacks, etc. while doing his work intermittently. We'll eat d... |

Savage on Autism.com The kind of conservative, Federalist ideas Savage pushes for are EXACTLY what we in the Aspie community need. If you think about it, the basic rules of social behavior that Savage, Larson, Hannity, and the other conservative radio hosts want in the world, the old societal metho... |

As for him being dumb he has two phds, one in nutrition and the other in epidimeology. He basically founded the alternative medicine movemnet If he in fact has two PHD's, it's amazing how little he has to show for it. He's a sensationalist, and he knows how to profit from being a hate-monger, nothi... |
