I'm actually (apparently) pretty damn perfect. I do well in school, obey my parents, and (since I don't have very many friends and don't see the appeal in going out to party) never get into much trouble. I usually stay in my room reading about European history, which keeps my 'rents happy. It's my (...

Thanks, guys, this really helps. It's just nice to be able to come home and get on WP and realize that I AM NOT ALONE. You'd think I was some freak case nobody'd ever heard speak about before or something, based on the reactions I got. Grrr...

At my school, I'm in an advanced program called the International Baccalaureate. We have a class called Theory of Knowledge, which is somewhat like philosophy; we discuss how language affects perception, culture, and emotion. This week we are doing a reading for a seminar by Temple Grandin, an autis...

I am most definitely proud. How could I not? I don't see how people could label Asperger's as a disability, if all it really does for me is help me do better in most subjects and have a passion that most of my classmates can only ever dream about. Sure, my social faux pas and inadequacies can be bad...

One of my friends has it but does not know I do....
I suspect one of my friends might have it, but it'd be awkward to ask.
There is this guy at my school, who does the morning weather announcements, who I know is an Aspie for a fact...but I don't know how to approach him, it'd be strange... :?

So, my mum refuses to accept I might have Asperger's. My dad has it for sure, and my older sister and I are both self-diagnosed. I show just about all the symptoms. Yet my mum says that I am perfectly neurotypical. She won't even let me see a psych. to ask, nor will she let my dad do so (they're div...

Scher, Why do you hate your stepmother? for the simple reason that she thinks that, because I'm an Aspie, I'm stupid, that I will never get any friends, and that I will end up begging for money in a street corner (since I won't be able to get a job). Also, she has tried to put my mum in jail repeat...
