If it gets to the 'chatting stage', you can always tell the ladies that you're irretrievably gay. They'll give up soon enough. :D

You sure are right about that Aurore, which is why I argue that social misfits like ourselves should strive for invisibility. Even if you're cute, people start to treat you like crap once they figure that you're 'weird'...at least in my experience and I've been on both ends of the scale. Right now I...

I've been fat for most of my life. I went through a few 'skinny periods' in High School and in my early twenties, but always gained the weight back. I've lost 20 lbs. doing Calorie Restriction with 35 lbs. to go. Since I am making this a permanent lifestyle change, the weight shouldn't come back (at...

Hi Anbuend, I was actually replying to the post above yours which effectively stated that her life would be so much easier (or at least less aggravating) if she were ugly. I know you were making the same point I was--that being on either side of the fence can be annoying. For those of us with AS, ex...

^^^trust me, ugliness is no picnic, because the ugly get a lot of attention too--just not the positive kind.

Strive to look as plain as possible (unflattering haircut & clothes) and you'll become invisible to others (more or less).

After reading about everyone's experience, I think it would be easier to be average looking than either pretty or ugly. Having been an ugly child myself, I often drew tons of negative attention from peers and would always get into trouble even when it was the other person's fault. I remember ...

Why should it be more admirable to be attracted to full-figured women than slender women? I don't know about it being more admirable, per se, but comforting for those of us who are not thin, because there are a lot more curvy women than skinny women out there, but it feels like sometimes men only g...

I've murdered one thread so far in my two days on this site. To take out one this huge will be a massive accomplishment.
