Ha! I am just the opposite - great with software, clueless with hardware. |

I spent five years as a software developer (including web development). I was good at it and loved it (and I still work in IT). I didn't encounter much team work, so that wasn't an issue (perhaps because I was responsible for creating all the layers of my applications - the database, the business lo... |

I was born by C-section at 24 weeks gestation...not so unusual now, but 46 years ago 24-weekers did not often survive. |

I think tech-savvy people are more likely to be Aspies...not sure if that equates to Aspies are more tech-savvy than other folks. However, I have made a career in IT, so who knows? Maybe it's true. |

You scored above the cutoff on all three scales. Clearly, you are either autistic or on the broader autistic phenotype. You probably are not very social, and when you do interact with others, you come off as strange or rude without meaning to. You probably also like things to be familiar and predict... |

I was born very premature (24 weeks gestation). I was actually not expected to survive (I was born 45 years ago, when neonatal technology was not as advanced as it is now). |

is it not illegal to share someone's criminal record on the internet? could a moderator please confirm/deny? In Michigan, the state police maintains a searchable database of sex offendors that lists each person's name, specific offenses, address, and picture. So no, I don't think it's illegal. As f... |

Girls slip through the diagnostic net, said Attwood, because they are so good at camouflaging or masking their symptoms. "Boys tend to externalise their problems, while girls learn that, if they're good, their differences will not be noticed," he said. "Boys go into attack mode when frustrated, whi... |

Anyone else experience this?
Yes. As I get older, I am doing better professionally, but worse socially. I have not made a new friend in years. |

Oh yeah. Occasionally, I can't stand my Mom's voice...it's like sandpaper on my skin. She's talking too much, too fast, and in a tone that drives me crazy. I usually just make an excuse and retreat to another room. Normally my Mom's voice is fine, I think it has more to do with what's going on with ... |

A key factor in the article is that they are looking at children born " more than three months prematurely ", not just any preemie. I was born at 24 weeks gestation, so I fall into this category (and I have Asperger's). They also said that such children are "two to three times as likely to show sign... |

Your Quirk Factor: 79%
You're so quirky, it's hard for you to tell the difference between quirky and normal. No doubt about it, there's little about you that's "normal" or "average."
No surprise there... |
