I have a very unique first name. I've never met anyone that shares it - and I never really minded it - only a little when I first meet nosy people and they want the run-down on where I got it. I find that happens less now that I'm in my twenties. Maybe people are less sure that adults will be polite... |

Vancouver won the 2010 Olympics "lottery." There is a skiing industry at Whistler. The mascots are recycled, in keeping with the recession! Didn't think of the recession angle. I guess, because they're recycled, you can also claim that the mascots are in keeping with Vancouver (and Whistler's... |

yeah, if you're a decent animal-tracking person, you not only know what it is by it's poop, but what it's been eating (and thus can make guesses about it's health) and sometimes, i think, how old it is (or atleast how big.)
You can learn a lot from poop. |

And that Vancouver can hardly be referred to as the heart of winter sport?? But yes, it's sort of cool that Canada is hosting... |

Do you think it is appropriate to laugh at how small the bill at what appears to be a nice restaurant? Scenario: No appetizer, no drinks, two people and it was only $40. Since I'm expecting to pay more than that for me, is it inappropriate to laugh? I'd be bummed it cost that much. But I'... |

Or am I? The few times I've become emotionally attached to non-family males, I've found out later that they're gay. It's hugely embarrassing. Sometimes quite sad. And funny too, I'll admit. I just don't seem to pick up on the sexual orientation "signals," get comfortable around them, start fantasiz... |
