Dee dee is a nickname. When my nephew was learning to talk, he tried to say auntie Nancy, but it came out "Tee". Then it just turned into Dee dee. All my nephews call me that. Nkd are my initials. Easy to remember! :)

Dear_____, When I first met you, I thought that you were much better looking than the picture I had seen! I really wanted to get to know you, but you were my supervisor. I didn't know an appropriate way to strike up a conversation. I remember when I realized I had a crush, or feelings for you. It wa...

I've been working in customer service for years. I have worked in retail (Target), and at call centers. I find the hardest part for me is the physical environment and co- workers, not customers. My last call center job, Verizon Wireless, the office was too bright and loud! Music was allowed so I oft...

I'm really sorry that everyone has gone through all of these things. It makes me sad. People do not understand the impact they are having. When I was about 4 years old, there were a lot of kids around my age in the neighborhood that played together. I wanted so much to be a part of the group because...

Right now, I'm watching the neighborhood peacock graze in my backyard. She's actually a peahen (female). At the same time every night, she hops from roof to roof and waits until she thinks it's safe to jump down into my backyard.

I was about 3 years old. One day I have been misbehaving. When my dad came home, my mom told him what I did. He asked me "when are you going to start behaving?". Without really thinking I blurted out "oh, next Saturday". As soon as I said it, I was expecting my mom and dad to really be angry and yel...

I definately think kids should be told something about their diagnosis. They will already know from a very early age that there brain works differently from other kids. They will know why. When I was about 3 years old, I was "treated" for what my parents said were "Autistic tendancies" at UCLA medic...
